Anyone been to Michael's right by the police department in Homewood? Curious to know what the food and scene are like.
Have only been there for a work lunch. It's good. Soho pricey. Atmosphere reminded me of how the Tavern at the Summit was
I would say Bamboo, Fero, Roots and Revelry, or maybe Bettola would all fit that bill. If it were me I'd go Bamboo--->Collins---->vagina
Roots and Revelry is good but the acoustics are so bad....have to scream just to be heard by the person across the table from you.
I don't like restaurants that seat you at tables 18 inches away from another table. You can hear the conversation of two strangers just as well as you can hear the person across your own table and that's not what I'm looking for at all.
No issues with the handicapped ticket. Brought in a flask and that was apparently frowned upon and they (bouncer, cops, and venue manager) made me leave...good thing there was another entrance thru the iron city grill and I chanced it and used my handicapped ticket after they had already ripped the perforated smaller portion off and they let me in. So my 7 foot tall self got lost in the GA on the floor and tried to hide myself from the cops, bouncer, and venue managers the rest of the evening and upon exiting the venue...which was surprisingly unnerving. I guess after recent events security has stepped up a notch or 10 at entertainment events. Great show too!
anybody know anywhere around town that could work on a bathroom fan? it is an older model that I am struggling to find a replacement for and its a little bit bigger so trying to replace it and patch the old hole in the roof would be miserable. it isn't completely broken but you can hear the fan blade grinding and it isn't moving any air. I think I may have found a replacement part for the fan on the internet but honestly I am not competent enough in small engine repair to think that I could order it and do it myself.
Going by myself because my friends aren't big fans and wife has to work early tomorrow. Been waiting to buy a cheap last-minute ticket (I usually get pretty lucky). The Struts are pretty good too. I'm guessing they'll put on a good show.
Alagasco became Spire and somehow through the process managed to stop my bill autopay. After two months of my bill not being paid, they turned my gas off. Once I became aware of the problem, I immediately got my bill paid and they apologized for the whole situation. But I'll still have at least 24 hours without gas/hot water all because of their own mistake. And all they can say or do is "We're sorry for the inconvenience." Really wish there was any decent competition in the area that I could switch to. This is the 4th time they've messed something up with my account in less than 3 years.
GA? Should be fun since you’re tall. Last time I did that I was getting leaned on by fat teenagers all night. Spoiler but that was My Chemical Romance. Don’t know what I expected
Happened with half the people in the state from what I’ve seen. Massive fuck up on their part. Luckily we caught it because we’re cheap as hell and noticed when the auto draft didn’t happen on the same date last month. Had to set up a new login and all that jazz on their website. Pretty bad move to put the billing burden on your “new” customers.
I don't "hate" Halloween but I get where you are coming from. Always scratch my head as to why people put so much pressure on dressing up and getting everyone to a party. We are adults, this is a holiday for kids to go get candy. Fucking friends are trying to talk everyone into going to a benefit costume party and then paying for a wristband for the Lakeview shit show. All of that being said, New Years is easily the worst holiday of the year.
How on earth could the Magic City Classic affect you enough for it to be your least favorite weekend of the year?
Acknowledging differences in races doesnt make me racist. Straight up not being comfortable around them might.
That was great. Big Me wasn’t on their previous setlists either so he’s probably the only reason we got that song. Also Dave absolutely tearing into him later for being on his phone was great too
So glad he knew how to play. I’m biased because of drums, but that Rope > “improv” > drum solo > Sunday Rain with the drum riser was amazing.
Jeremy was on BMR with Reg and Will this morning recounting the story. He said Dave walked over during the first part of the show, read his sign and mouthed “maybe”. He said he knew he had Dave’s attention at that point so he put the sign down. Also said he picked “Big Me” because it’s an easy song and short so Dave would be more likely to go for it. Said he’s been playing guitar for 20 years. Anyone got a link to the video?
