Leave the barbershop and bibi comes back and wins in 2. Well okay then. now please best tsurenko so we can get a swiatek match
I like the edge from him, but I am surprised it didn't piss off his opponent. I guess every player knows what it is like to be in hostile territory
Fritz has had his fair share of soft performances in big moments (not quite FAA or Hubie level but close). I’m not sure if him overcoming this crowd is a sign of good things to come or if it is setting up a grand downfall.
Could see a lot of upsets tomorrow (well starting in 2 hours). not sure who I’ll end up on but none of the following would be big surprises to me: Sonego over Rublev, Sonego has had some real decent showings this year and pushed superior players. He beat Rublev in their last clay match 2 years ago. Rublev should win but he’s been so up and down, I’m not rushing to bet him. Varillas over Hurkacz. I don’t think Varillas is an amazing player or anything, but Hubie loves making things difficult in slams. First two rounds he went 5 sets as a big favorite, Varillas is much more of a comfortable clay player. Pavluchenkova over Potapova. A few of these aging players always seem to get a little further in slams than expected. I think because they realize they don’t have many slams left. Potapova beat sheriff despite having 42!! unforced errors to 28 winners. Even when she smoked Townsend she had 20 UE to 24 winners. I don’t think either of the big 2 men will lose but I do expect them to have much tougher matches. Djokovic should get a food fitness test vs ADF. Alejandro actually beat him in Monte Carlo last year, but Monte Carlo isn’t a slam. And Carlos should be able to out last Shapo with his consistency. I think we all know that Shapo has all the ability in the world. I could see 1-2 highly contested sets before he fades away.
I posted that when she got broke the second time. She’s just completely rattled. Hopefully she can come back and win a game or two.
Yeah that was the Rublev melty that I posted above. It was still close, I just found it weird that he was melting down after serving him a bagel in the second set.
Davidovich Fokina serving for the set against Djoker. 15-15, wide open court to take the lead in the game. Absolutely duffs it then loses the game
you don't have to be perfect to beat Novak but you certainly have to be better than the dozen points. I'm shocked he's still in it
Djokovic takes control of the TB going down the line at the net like Fokina should have. Djokovic has looked more than human
Sloane has no aces through 2.5 matches. hard to envision anyone winning a major without getting free points on the serve
same, I just had a free bet and that's what I usually use to get my non-math-based "gambling" urge out
I kinda think Saba crushes her in two days time. But I guess if she pulls off that upset, she would be free and clear
Blinkova/Svitolina, big third set point. Down the line. Called out, ump runs down from the chair, gets to the line, aggressively points that he's indeed correct, it's out! ...next to a hawkeye showing it was clearly in
