can't emphasize enough how enjoyable this Magdalena Bay album is. Elite pop music their EP from last year was great and I loved following them on social media leading up to this LP. The girl went to Penn and the guy went to Northeastern, so it makes sense they're so creative and tech savvy. Feels like they've exploded over the second half of this year and I really love to see it
Snail Mail album out today Also some new Kid A/Amnesiac reissue by Radiohead that has B sides and 2 unreleased tracks, which I'm prob gonna check out
Saw Sacred Bones tweet something about an album from Constant Smiles coming out next week. Looked them up and surprised I'd never heard of them, although maybe I just didn't search the thread enough Sacred Bones is so elite
I don’t remember why, but I was under the impression that the last tour he went on in 2019 was the last thing he would be doing as spiritualized. Happy that’s not the case.
it’s tough for me not being in the scene anymore but every once in a while I try to find some good stuff
I met Matt's aunt at Forecastle Fest the summer they released it and they were told it was the record label that had full control over and told them to do an electronic album. but the songs from the album were great live. cause it was just the regular band
I really liked that single you posted. Ended up on the phone all day so didn’t get a listen in but it’s queued up. Glad to read this.
next week we get a LP from Lionlimb dude leading this band plays guitar for Angel Olsen and is signed to Bayonet Records (run by Dustin Payseur of Beach Fossils). Biased because I'm friends with his sister, but I think he's got a very bright future with this band
John (timestwo) released an album in October. It’s enjoyable if that sort of thing tickles your pickle.
I was really into this dude a long time ago. he did some work on sub pop and is a producer for a lot of really solid records. new single:
