Caveman, Real Estate, and Local Natives songs were on the random playlist today. 2013 had some great albums.

 

I was so into those first couple LN albums. They were my favorite band for several years. Everything they put out now is so bad though.

 

really dropped the ball not seeing Glixen open for DIIV in Albuquerque

 

quite a few good songs by some familiar faces on this compilation released in honor of Trans Day of Remembrance

On a whim went to go see bnny and slow pulp last night. I hadn’t seen slow pulp in a few years, it was great to see them headline and they killed it. They’re so tight live now. Love to see some Midwest indie bands flexing

Oh also saw interpol earlier this week. Good week

 

Chicago's got the best music scene in the country right now. Was looking up shows in Nashville over winter break and woof. Wtf happened to the indie venues there?

 

The chuds have ruined Nashville. I assume they’re responsible for this too.

 

Friko expanded album rocks. Includes some live tracks from their metro show earlier this year as well as a lovely mbv cover

I can tell you there's a lot of mainstream consensus around Charli XCX, Beyonce and Billie Eilish.

 

Charli understandably so. Haven’t listened to the Eilish a ton but liked it. Cowboy Carter was just not good — interesting thought exercise, poor execution.
