Eh, they'v been making the same music since Kid A. I miss when they use to rock more like their best album, The Bends.
1. I saw Rolling Stones on the Super Bowl halftime a few years ago...idk if I'd go that far at this point 2. Not liking Radiohead bc they don't "rock" anymore is a stupid ass take. OK Computer literally came out over 20 years ago. Imagine still trying to shoehorn an artist into that sound 3. Mad
Ok Computer was their creative peak. I still prefer Bends. Also, no reason to be mad. I'v got plenty other music to pick from.
Agree to disagree. I love Bends as well but if they had quit after that, for me they'd be down a few tiers from where I have them now among my favorite all-time artists. The creativity and songwriting on display across such a wide variety of sounds is what separates them
I fell in love with Post Animal when I saw them open for White Reaper back in November they are fucking rad. If you like White Reaper, NE-HI or Twin Peaks you will dig these guys their new album will be out on 4/20 and the first single is called Ralphie
I'm all in on that intro, the chorus makes me cringe a bit, but overall it seems interesting enough to hear what they've got
Are there any bands you only keep on your media devices for a song or two? I use my phone as my primary media device (I DL to a HD and move from HD to phone) and have limited carrying capacity as a result So with like 28 GB of music I gotta be picky. But I really really love the songs Afraid of Heights and Demon to Lean On by Wavves. Likewise I'm obsessed with Bone Jam by JEFF the Brotherhood
On GP's really the only Death Grips song I'm in to, but it's one of my go to pump ups and is the first thing that came to mind that organ drop drives me bonkers
Same, sold all my physical media at least 5 years ago. Just dumped the shit on eBay. Also interesting part of that, I got more $$ for the same quantity of used CDs than DVDs. Like it tripled the DVD total. Kind of shocked me.
something along the lines of these songs evolving in the live show and wanting to get these versions out?
I actually tried revisiting this album last week, unsuccessfully. Sick Sad Little World goes a long way for it though.
new Speedy Ortiz album will be out April 27th, it'll be called Twerp Verse. First single is called Lucky 88
Portugal. The Man was phenomenal last night. They rocked very hard. Great visuals. A little strange hiring two hip hop dancers but it worked with the visuals. Opening act was also a very solid young hip hop funk artist named Topaz Jones. He has a really good sound and presence.
