Did you read the longform on them recently about their career and where things started to head in the wrong direction, etc? Was really good.
only dipped my toes in enough to see if it'd be something I'd want to download, but I'm digging the vibe, as they say seems like it'll be quite the journey, looking forward to it
one of my favorite songs of the year Shopping - Discover if you like Priests or Omni, I think you'll love this band
Rough Trade has their top 100 albums of 2018 out http://www.brooklynvegan.com/rough-trade-shops-top-100-lps-of-2018/
wish they would've had a little blurb for each one to make it easier for people like myself who use these lists to find new stuff
Was a little worried when I saw 19 really short tracks as those albums tend to grow tiresome with songs that usually don't have enough substance to really grab me, hasn't felt that way at all though

Anyone seen the Shacks? They're opening for Middle Kids when I go see them in about a month. Cracked top 100 on that list Cornelius Suttree posted.
Is it soulful? But seriously, I got so tired of them with that same sound on the 2nd album that I didn’t even care to listen to the 3rd, not realizing they changed their sound in an improvement. Reviews make it sound like they already gave up on that sound.
agreed Courtney Barnett, Natalie Prass and Wild Nothing = probably my most disappointing albums of 2018 (off the top of my head)
US Girls getting no love on these lists so far Also I had just assumed from the single I listened to that new Arctic Monkeys was the same old bland, watered down rehash we'd heard a million times before, so it's been pretty surprising to see them listed so high in these early lists
coming from someone who thinks sometimes i sit is a banger, tell me how you really feel is super forgettable. lists are bad
I wanted to be cool and get into Bob Dylan but I can't do it. Every time his whiny voice and harmonica come up on shuffle it's like skip
listen to the basement tapes, blood on the tracks, bringing it all back home, blonde on blonde, and highway 61 revisited in that order and report back t "power user" c
I have always liked their lyrics but this album is very boring. The more they change their sound, the worse they get.
Lyrics are the worst part of this one. All are about his love of Carrie mulligan. I disagree with them getting worse with that 2015 change. Dessner and Brooklyn made them better, but sells weren’t good and they sold out here.
Well, how many J's did you take? How was it? They are here the 30th, all my old friends bailed on me. I am scrambling.
I couldn't get to sleep till like 2:30 because it was such an amazing experience. Well worth being exhausted today. I only took a vape pen with a Bubba Kush cartridge. Preoccupations was first and then Protomartyr finished the night. You gotta go, even if just by yourself
Anyone near Philly and wants to go, please let me know. Side note, I've never understood the drunk crowd at concerts. I mean I enjoy a beverage for sure but I never understood the people who get sloppy. Nothing is better than being amped up like this after a good show and remembering it. People pay good money to see a band and then even more money to get hammered.
