I download music to a hard drive and move it from hard drive to phone via my laptop I don't use streaming services I also still burn CDs to play in the car
I download mp3s still because I am a stubborn old man. I have an ipod classic that holds my whole library and then keep favorite/new albums on my phone if I do ever stream anything I am team spotify
Spotify all the way. I hate iTunes with a fucking passion is why. Sold and/or threw out all my old media.
Pretty much, but the plex UI is not the best for music even with the new premium music capability. I am still getting used to it. iTunes was easier in terms of how it was supposed to work. but for music libraries that size the software was very bloated and slow.
This is what I always did/do but from reading threads about new albums and such it seems everyone is talking Apple Music or Spotify so I was wondering if it was time to undergo the ever dreaded process known as change
song is a couple years old but never heard of Saint Raymond before and have listened to "as we are now" about 5 times in a row now. good shit
Guys... The So So Glos newest breakthrough KAMIKAZE is out apparently. Holy fuck http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/05/stream-the-so-so-glos-new-album-kamikaze/ Can't say I didn't warn you.
DC: DC9 Rock and roll hotel Red Palace Black Cat NYC: Shea Stadium Death by Audio 285 Kent Glasslands Lee Poisson Rouge FUCK VICE
I am qualifying these as the best for a few reasons, but first factor is bands that they get. For example I hate Terminal 5, but they do get great acts. 285 Kent and Mercury lounge are two small hole in the walls that when they get good bands you get a super intimate environment. Williamsburgh and Bowery are your typical 500 person downstairs and upstairs wrap around with multiple bars. Brooklyn bowl amazing food, large stage area, bowling, multiple lounges and bars. In NY Small: 285 Kent Music hall of wiliamsburgh Bowery Ballroom Mercury Lounge Larger: ( I hate stadiums) Prospect park Brooklyn bowl Webster hall Terminal 5
The Metz / John Regis 7" is, unsurprisingly, excellent. Didn't realize it was a record store day thing but I don't usually do that anyway. Now to track down the Metz-Burma split. Also those replacements reissues are nice if anyone forgot to grab those.
Finally. Hope their more active this touring cycle. Only stop in Detroit last time was opening for Bob Mould.
Thee Oh Sees new album is out August 12. It'll be called A Weird Exits They are one of my very favorite acts
Not gonna lie, I'm really stoked that Blink-182 is going on tour again. I've had their new one on repeat.
headlining x-games here next weekend. honestly was gonna skip that show... are they actually good live? I haven't listened to them in probably 15 years
in an effort of not going through my entire library, and Genius playlist failing me, can I have recs for stuff that vibes like Jamie XX - Loud Places
also, i'm trying to find an artist from like 2008-2012 single name, thought it started with a B or a J, made ambient music/no vocals thought it was Bibio but it's not, then thought it was Jonsi but it's not
i have all their stuff i'll probably just have to go through my library and make a playlist, really wish Genius playlist would have worked
never heard it but i kind of like it I'm wondering if it didn't start with a B or a J. This is some needle in the haystack type stuff.
