Ive read about 6 or 7 different articles or sites from the past 2 years and on one has had any issues/problems . Just use common sense like usual.
until a terrorist blows your plane up over the med, or sets off a car bomb in a market. or storms your hotel/tour bus and starts shooting people. or the egyptian security forces mistake your tour group for terrorists and drop bombs on you (yeah, that happened)
sure, but its an every day reality in the egypt and jordans of the world. jordan has a great government and they're doing a lot to combat it, but they cant help being that close to the conflicts
that how it works down there? i know basically everyone in thailand works on a tourist visa and just renews every 30 days
Agreed. Although I dont know how active ISIS is in those places. Ill have to do some more studying up.
Egypt and Northern Africa as a whole is a hotbed for multiple terrorist groups. Jordan had avoided a lot of the spill over from surrounding countries for a long time but it has gotten more difficult for them to stop there, but mostly on the border. It's a growing problem
Not sure how good the shark diving is in February near seal island, but worth looking into. We went during peak season in June. There are a bunch of places that will pick you up from Cape Town to do it. We booked it through our hostel with White Shark Projects.
No idea about flights. I got lucky through virgin. Cape Town....winery, shark diving, rent a car and drive down to the southern cape, Penguins, Robben Island, Hike Lions head, drink at camps Bay for a day. Eat all the good absurdly cheap food and wine.

Anybody subscribe to Scott Keyes flight deals? A guy that sends 2-3 emails with a lot of the same deals posted ITT. Just sent one re: flights from all over the US to Spain for sub-$400. I'm not on twitter, so this is what I usually follow. Easy to sign up. https://scottscheapflights.com/premium/ Spoiler Some amazing fares on Delta to Spain, especially from parts of the US like Dayton, Anchorage, and Honolulu that rarely see cheap flights to Europe! (If you don't see your home airport listed below, double check in Google Flights just to make sure I didn't eff up and miss it. Sadly this deal doesn't work from Delta hub cities :-() Cheapest prices are to Barcelona or Madrid, with elsewhere in Spain ~$25 or $50 more. Yeah that's a steal. Same reason for me booking both legs for Croatia now. The legs out of/to Charlotte without 20ish hour flight times had a lot of them at 65k reward points one way. Didn't want to wait and miss out on 60k round trip
Any advice on getting from the Venice airport to Venice and vice versa? Have an 840am flight out of Venice so will likely need a private water taxi but don't want to get ripped off

Kruger is about 6 hour drive from Joburg. Absolutely worth spending 4 days within the park it was unreal. I did cage diving with marine dynamics. They picked me up in Cape Town, they are probably the most prominent group. Saw a total of 9 sharks in a couple hours which was awesome.
Are you able to book Helicopter flights to Milford Sound while there? I don't really want to prebook and have bad weather, but I also don't want them to be sold out when I'm there.
You can pre book flights which is what we did yesterday. Although we got very lucky because they cancelled all the rest for the day and likely the week because of bad weather.
Just booked Tucson to Athens, Greece roundtrip for $480 (used rewards points) for Oct of next year. Stoked.
I might, been looking at it. I have a Croatian friend who might come with and has a bunch of family/family friends over there so I'm waiting to see what his deal is before nailing down an itinerary. Might end up on a family farm while they sacrifice a goat in my honor
I have to figure out a schedule for my employees and have my parents approve it all cause they are my bosses.
Currently sitting in the Club at LAS thanks to my Sapphire Reserve card. This is how traveling was meant to be
How much time do you have? I'm road tripping from Zagreb through zadar and down through split to dubrovnik. A few days in dubrovnik itself is probably good, but make time to go up the coast, to national parks, etc. Renting a car is cheap and places to stay aren't bad either
Anyone ever dealt with being accused of rental car damage? Got a shitty Jeep Compass from Avis when I landed Friday but took it back Saturday to get something with better gas mileage since I'm going up and down the east coast. I was in a rush when I did the exchange and didn't check out the exterior or document anything on the new vehicle. Noticed when I arrived in CT on Monday that there's a dent near the passenger side tire and the bumper has some paint scraped off. I'm 99.99% sure I had nothing to do with this but don't have any proof otherwise. I take it back on Friday and just plan on saying nothing as I believe this is the condition I was given the car in. I paid with the Sapphire Reserve so absolute worst case I have the primary liability coverage on it but that's a headache I'd rather not deal with, especially since I'm damn near certain this wasn't my fault.
