It's been great so far. It was difficult to watch how much Naz fucked up since discovering the body. I can't decide if it would be a good twist or a complete bummer if he actually did kill her while blacked out. But it seems unlikely based on the lack of blood spray on his clothes and body and the fact that the knife used to cut her hand isn't the same one used to stab her to death.
This is too slow for me to be a weekly watch. Going to have to wait and watch it all at one time. Pretty sure I'll like it a lot more as a binge watch, has potential.
Just getting into the axons episode and I hate this kid so much. Just listen to the person that is helping you. Fuck.
Seems like they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of casting that actor if he didn't have more of a prominent role moving forward.
as much as I love the random nasty feet jokes are that shit has to have at least something to do with a big-ish moment. I mean they showed him buying creams and shit this episode.
I don't feel like it's been too slow. I think they're laying some great groundwork for what's to come during the back half of the season. Can't wait for tonight's.
Preview/casting comment: Spoiler Hoping that we get Omar's episode tonight. Would make sense for him to be the person with inside info or whatever that's in the closed jail cell in the preview Michael Williams
Cat let me down in that episode. Gotta know not to return to the murder scene that soon after killing someone. Prediction: Knish goes back to get the cat so he doesn't get got in the pound. Waterboards him with a milk saucer in his home until he confesses to the murder. Gets back Naz as a client and wins the case. Gets rich. Feet still fucked up
I'm probably over thinking it, but it may be important that the cat was back outside. The police didn't seem interested in taking care of it, why would they let it out again
i assumed it had been outside since she let it out before her and Naz and Knish is gonna have the AHA! moment of that door being open still and there being a cat and maybe asks Naz about that or it comes up when someone ACTUALLY LETS HIM TELL THE STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED.
I'm confused by the "how did it get out again" She let it out when Naz came over When did it ever come back inside until this episode when Stone let it in? My assumption is that it had been outside the entire time (hiding in the trap house until heat was off) And it was just now returning home it never got back "out" after he let it in to feed it milk. he took it to the shelter from there
No he didn't take it straight to the shelter. He saw it again outside after he was told by Naz he wasn't his lawyer anymore. He took the cat in when he was over doing his own investigation of the crime scene.
I was on board with your "the cat did it" theory until you admitted it was mimosa influenced. Back to the drawing board
I wrote a post in another thread a while back about how the criminal justice system victimizes the accused, and this show does a better job than any I've ever seen at detailing how crushing the process really is. Your personal property, your time, your money, your freedom, your reputation all become property of the state before you're convicted of anything. And if you get off, which I'm assuming Naz will, the state makes no effort at reimbursement. Now just imagine if Naz was a financial provider with dependents.
This show has so much potential but it needs to pick it up imo. Pretty meh episode. Usually I have no problem with a slow burn but in a miniseries they need to move forward with the plot quicker than they're done thus far
Yeah that was tough, but I understood the legal issues around it after reading up some on Kimdotcom's legal issues.
Was pretty glad the rape-y vibes never actually came to fruition at Rikers. Hoping they shift more to the facts/crime scene in the next few episodes. Still enjoying it, though. The cat's going to be a huge deal re: getting in and out of the apartment.
Enjoyed Sunday's episode. Omar's character is very intriguing. Prison life looks terrible. Stuff with a new lawyer will be fun to watch. Loving this show.
The foot stuff is strange but the prison portion is extremely relevant to the show as it's more about Nas and his experience in the justice system than the whodunit aspect of the case
