That was my first thought but he's banging that female guard so maybe something else although I have no idea what
I think Stone is going to get himself back into the case by representing Naz's dad's partners (the cop gave them his card) for the obvious purpose of getting access to case files and helping Naz get acquitted.
Really liked how they shot the shower scene and the bathroom scene at Rikers, using walls in the foreground, reflections, etc. to build suspense without resorting to swinging mirror gimmicks. Made it feel a lot more real.
Shot in the dark here -- my parents cancelled HBO so now I'm out an HBO Go password. Anyone here willing to hook a brother up?
I question the other lawyer's motives on taking the case. That may not work out, which will get John back on the case.
its clear the other lawyer's motion is seeing another minority up against the system and the publicity that comes with it
I'm not sure if it was originally from the British tv show, but they do a lot of scenes where the camera gets focused on someone/something and I don't know if it is even relevant. It's like true detective meets stranger things.
That may change. She also seems like a bitch and I'm curious to see how her and Nas will interact. For example, maybe she won't believe him and want to go with a different strategy, etc. I'm banking on John representing Nas so something will have to happen to fit my theory.
And not to get all technical, but... I never saw Det. Box read Miranda? He doesn't need to read Miranda unless Nas is not free to go and is being questioned, which seemed to be the case after they found the knife. Unless I'm missing something, I'm viewing anything Nas said to Box after the knife was found as inadmissible.
Would have been hilarious to see a scene with Gandolfini, Janice, and Benny ten years after the Sopranos finale
I'm glad Naz finally told his side of the story. Don't think they've shown anything that indicated he's told anyone shit until now. Maybe Box will stop with the Oscar the grouch deal and go try to find more suspects. Spoiler: preview "I'm calling about a cat"
So did naz get baby oil'd bc his roommate was pissed he wouldnt admit he did anything wrong, he is a plain psycho, or was it a test to make him hard? Team psycho
Trying to understand what the smile meant when Naz walked out of the infermery area without ratting on the bunkmate
the way the dude looked at the casket after getting yelled at by the stepfather was interesting like he knew the stepfather had something to do with it
Just spitballing, but any chance Freddy had the roommate baby oil him on purpose to help convince Naz to ask for his help?
That was my initial thought as well, just found myself afterwards wondering about Freddy's motivations. He clearly wanted Naz to ask him for help, and perhaps wanted to push it along. Also found it interesting he wanted Naz to take the deal. That would be good for Freddy, but not for Naz, as it'd ensure Naz would be in there and he'd be able to use him for however long they were in there together.
Also, I don't think Freddy's motives are entirely pure. I also think Naz is starting to realize you can't fully trust anyone in there.
Assuming the guy was telling the truth about his niece. Everything he was doing with Naz was to fuck him over for killing the girl. The type of crime that Naz is accused of doesn't go over well with inmates and especially not that guy who had a fairly member die in a similar fashion. So the baby oil was another step in the retribution.
