Do you need 2 joy-con controllers to play 1 2 switch, or does each person hold one of the little side ones? I'll probably play Zelda handheld in bed more than anything, so I'm going to pass on the pro-controller for now.
I'm going to stick with this. I don't think you have to get a Pro Controller. This isn't me saying it's not worth it, or to not get it. I'm just saying I don't think it's something every Switch owner needs. I play almost exclusively in handheld mode, maybe that's why I feel this way, but I'd say give the puppyface controller that the system comes with a try before dropping 60 on the pro controller
I'll piggyback on that point. I play probably 75% in handheld but when I do dock it, I play with the separated controllers because it really does work well. My breakdown in 50 hours of BotW is probably: 35 hours handheld 5 hours joycons on grip controller 10 hours separated joycons Pro controller will become more necessary when we get into e-sports type titles like Splatoon.
N generally doesn't follow that formula. The 3DS never got bigger onboard memory to my knowledge. There were several iterations of the DS but it was to add 3D capabilities and then to alter the size and add a second joystick.
I wasn't being specific about the memory upgrade. Just saying that there will be a second console release at some point.
i play docked 95% of the time. i'd die without the pro controller. i don't like the d-pad being so low on the joy con.
Finally expanded my game library. Got Shovel Knight and Graceful Explosion Machine. Never played Shovel Knight when it first came out and it's a great throwback. GEM is a lot of fun too. Reminds me of Gradius and Defender. Loved those games growing up.
what's the next release y'all are looking forward to? For the people who bought, are you happy with your purchase? Satisfied with the money spent?
I'm delighted with it. Next purchase will be Mario Kart. We played a little Bomberman with friends over the weekend and while it's incredibly bare bones and simplistic, it's also really fun and hectic. No regrets with any of my purchases yet.
Still debating whether to double-dip and get Mario Kart later this month. I already did everything with it on the WiiU, but very few people owned a WiiU so if you haven't got it, it's a must-buy. Probably the best game in the series. For me the next AAA title to get is Splatoon 2 (though I'll wait and see if ARMS is worth the price). In the meantime, the eShop has been keeping me plenty busy. Totally satisfied thus far.
anyone have a recommendation for a 2nd wall charger for the switch? trying to avoid buying the bulky nintendo one for $30.00
will this work? edit: is amazon not embedding for anyone else? link-https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B06WP5CY1R?psc=1
I really wish my Wii U eshop purchases would transfer to the switch. Only reason I haven't gone for it yet Mainly Mario Maker and MK8
I've got a cross-country flight coming up. I think my fellow flyers would love to watch me just grab some asian titties for a few hours.
I wasn't going to double dip since I did everything you could do on the WiiU version but I gave in when I saw footage of the new battle modes. Lots of fun, especially renegade roundup
I'm surprised how much fun in having with it as well. I really like the homage they pay to old games. Toads coin ship from mario 3. Little crabs from the original super Mario Bros. Mechanical Koopa from super Mario world. Old maps... it's just a good game.
Metroid Prime 4 late 2018? 2019 Pokemon RPG same, late 2018, 2019 Rocket League! Mario Odyssey looks more fun than i originally thought. splatoon and arms i don't really care about, but a lot of people are pumped about those too.
They just apologized for shortages and said they're ramping up for even more production in July and August.
