Almost bought Tropical Freeze on the WiiU. I’m glad I held off, or I wouldn’t have bought it for the Switch. Now I have it as a portable, and can play while my kids watch their shows. The game is truly incredible and difficult, so the staying power is strong. Big fan.
Get ready to wander into the game world and embark on a rampage of epic proportions when Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on Jan. 18.
Online launches this month. Who wants to get down on a family plan with me? It’s $34.99 for 12 months and you can invite 7 others to your plan. That’s pretty spectacular. I don’t mind organizing it.
Really believe they’re gonna announce at least one big thing related to online. Specifically a game moreso than a feature. Pipe dream would be Overwatch or GTA with cross platform play.
Sounds like Yoshi will indeed be in the direct...apparently it’s titled Yoshi’s Crafted World...speculation that it’ll have Labo functionality somehow
I know this belongs in the Random Shit thread, but my wife took the kids to her parents for the night so that I could truly enjoy the CFB lineup, and what do I do??? I consume lab grown mushrooms, while playing handheld Mario Kart online against a bunch of Japanese children, with college football on in the background, while drinking my favorite beer. Not sure that this is the ideal future I had in mind a decade ago, but this is greatness.
Hey audrew final fight is coming to Switch 9/18 in the Beat Em Up Bundle Will include local and online co-op
Final Fantasy VII on Switch is so surreal. It's crazy to see it considering the whole history around it.
Alright who all wants in on a family plan? broXcore Ned Yocho Wu Sub-Zero Got room for 3 more. I can make my account the master and establish the subscriptions from there and attach y’all if you’d like to throw me $7 each ($5 each if we can fill the account). Seems a hell of a deal at that point despite how underwhelming that portion of the Direct was yesterday. I’d be tempted to pay $5 as is for access to the NES catalogue.
never was able to beat this game on SNES. local bar has it, proceeded to beat it with around $4 in quarters at age 33.
For those of you that played Xenoblade 2, the torna expansion came out yesterday. I’m 8 hours in and cannot put it down. Really damn good so far
I’ve only played the original ones on game boy. Those games were awesome...I don’t care to do any of the online/trading shit but I’ll definitely pick it up if it plays like a regular rpg. That new game ‘Town’ by the people who make Pokemon is more intriguing to me than Pokemon tbh.
I can’t even remember what you do in Animal Crossing, but I remember the original game being somehow really enjoyable so I’m looking forward to that
Father of the Year candidate doing whatever it takes to make sure his kids have an appropriate childhood... https://kotaku.com/dad-gets-toddler-to-climb-inside-game-machine-steal-ni-1829121501
If I let him my four year old would spend 12 straight hours watching YouTube videos of people playing the Mario game where Mario turns into a dinosaur. I’m guessing that’s on the switch? Is this thing actually worth buying.
Jesus Christ man yes it’s worth buying...it’ll be the greatest console ever released once Smash bros drops in December.
When y’all hop on the Nintendo Switch Online app, don’t use the CRT filter. Redditors are saying it’s screwing up peoples’ Switch displays.
There’s a filter to make the retro games look like they’re being played on an old CRT TV. It’s causing burn-in on some Switch displays.
I don’t have a connection to NES; never had one. I’m unfortunately not feeling nostalgic about their first batch of retro releases and agree that they feel extremely dated. SNES is my jam so I’m hoping they end up on Switch soon. I doubt we see SNES in the next 12 months, though. :(
