    I played 5 or so games of Tetris 99 yesterday morning. I think the best I did in any game was ~ 85th. It really put a damper on my Sunday. feelsbadman

    Finished co-op Kirby Star Allies with my wife yesterday.

    It was charming and had some memorable characters but good grief, that entire experience was incohesive and far too simple. I’m not sure there was ever an actual narrative until the final boss appeared. That battle was remarkably fun and unlike anything in the rest of the game. Almost seems like they dropped their entire budget into the ending.

    5/10 would not recommend, even for the kiddos

    honestly the god forsaken Watcher Knights gave me the most trouble. Dat feeling when you finally beat a tough boss though.

    if you upgrade your nail to max, you can just cheese the fuck out of Hollow Knight and make quick work of him.

    still mind boggling that there is no Virtual Console equivalent for the Switch. Nintendo is leaving millions of dollars on the table. I know I'd spend at least a couple hundred on some old Wii and Gamecube titles.

    Playing them on Switch or on my emulator over the years I am still baffled how I played these games as a kid.

    Playing Ice Hockey for 5 minutes and I'm just getting obliterated and can barely make my guys move how I want. I don't know how I used to do this as an 8 year old

    The Switch is the goat travel console. Played hollow knight for about two hours on the plane, battery was only down to 70% after.

    The switch is technically my girlfriend's, was her xmas gift, but I'm about to travel a lot this weekend and I just got Stardew and I need a distraction. Might weasel it out of her hands.

    with a toddler at home it's the only way I can finish a game now because I can take it anywhere. No way I would have been able to finish Mario and Zelda with an at-home console only. And it's not like portable consoles are new but this one's quality (software wise) is just so much ahead of anything.

    Got to sing some more Yoshi praise...game is blowing away all my expectations. I’m playing it by 100%ing each area(so far 2-3 levels at a time) before moving on. Exploring every nook and cranny frontwards and back several times is surprisingly addicting. The level design is downright brilliant and the platforming is much meatier than I expected. I imagine it wouldn’t be a very impressive experience if you just breezed through the levels, but finding every secret and playing the levels over and over until you unlock everything is fantastic.
