I like how the coins on the top make noise so you know when you're near one. Also the infinite flight mode is nice. Allows my wife to play without getting pissed off and asking me to take over.
Downloaded the Yoshi demo for the kids last weekend. They didn't play it but I did. Fairly impressed. Better than expected.
Has anyone gotten the “drift effect” with their joycons? My left stick keeps going forward without prompting.
It's happening on my PS4 controller and I don't know what to do. I tried using a compressed air shooter thing to try and get any dust particles out but that didn't do shit. Consider trying that first.
Tried it. Apparently, it’s fairly common. The contact on the base of the joycon stick, rubs against a contact point, which determines which direction you’re trying to go. Someone on another forum just said to order the replacement contact pad and installed it. I’m not super confident in that, so I’ll search for some YouTube videos when I get home. If it’s easy enough, I’ll try it, otherwise I might be shopping for some replacement joycons.
Need some folks who have played Civ on the switch to tell me how it is. I played past civ's on computer, currently have Civ 6 on my phone. Curious how it is on this
Civ runs smoothly on switch and as someone who’s traditionally been staunchly against RTS on console it plays better than I hoped I started up a game as sort of a trial run and true to history the Japanese surprised attacked me and declared war
I know. After they scrapped it, it will be a while, but Nintendo might have pushed for progress to appease everyone with some solid news at E3...maybe?
I’m cool with any and all ports. So many people didn’t buy the Wii U, so it would only make sense to port more of those titles over (especially with the success of the Wii U ports, so far). Maybe some Virtual Console news?
Child of Light is a top 3 indie style game for me this gen. Its currently $8 on the shop. Highly recommend it for anyone.
Anyone have a travel case they recommend? Going on a trip this weekend and would like something to keep my switch in.
Whoever hasn't bought the Satisfye grip, needs to, if you enjoy handheld. The thing is pretty damn great!
Love mine. Can’t recommend enough. Also like that the case holds my 20,000mah battery and will charge the switch while in the case
Don’t have the case, but might have to after your review. Fitting the grip and being able to charge while stored, sounds ideal.
You're saying the Satisfye grip can charge, or you're saying the case you own does that? My biggest complaint with the Switch is that it just bleeds battery if you don't fully turn it off, sleep mode does not give it much life and is the default turn-off method.
The grip doesn’t charge. The storage case allows for enough room to house a charging brick on top of fitting the grip, so you can charge while storing it.
Never bought it for Wii U, but I loved that as a mini game in Mario 3D World. Next time there’s a sale on digital, I might have to pull the trigger.
Tune in on June 5 at 6 a.m. PT for roughly 15 minutes of new information on Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield for Nintendo Switch in a livestreamed Pokémon Direct presentation. https://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/
They may be better off burning their online infrastructure to the ground and letting low-level interns redo it as their capstone project.
Enjoying New Super Mario Bros U Gives me that sweet 2d Mario action I was looking for, even if the jumping is a bit floaty
Just getting into Dead Cells. Never played a game like this before. Enjoying it a lot in the beginning stages.
