100%. It's been such an amazing console on airplanes. I only have 1 physical game and that's BotW and I think it's because I got it for $10 off or something.
Nintendo first party physical copies will be eventually be rather valuable but I’d go with digital unless you find deals on physical versions of games you want
Am I the only person that prefers the joy cons? Honestly I never use the other controllers we bought. AND WHERE THE FUCK IS METROID
I got some turnips finally. I always forget to boot up before noon on Sunday. Let the stalk market begin.
Double damnit. Question, I doubled my moolah by selling my 'nips. Do I pay off my house loan (with half my available bells) or wait out the week to exponential growth this stalk market shit?
So I am learning that apparently games on Switch just stay at full fucking price? At least for digital. I’m used to PS where year old and older games are routinely massively discounted.
Nintendo first party games just don't have that same dropoff. They all remain must-haves for every new owner. They are practically tied to the hardware as mandatory software.
sure. Also if you don't buy 3 or more first party games in the first year the switch actually melts. So I've heard.
I’ve enjoyed FIFA on there. It’s a watered down version but you really can’t beat bagging a 90th minute winner while having a shit.
I bought a wifi a couple of months ago. Mario odyssey was well worth it, everything else has been meh. Haven’t touched it in a month.
That’s enough to have an opinion on it. Did you grow up with Nintendo systems? This game was basically what they have wanted to do with the franchise since the beginning, and they hit an absolute homerun. Very rare to see someone not enjoy it.
Nintendo site running a big sale, including some first party stuff. Picked up Civ and Skyrim but plenty of other stuff on sale too. https://www.nintendo.com/games/sales-and-deals/
I need a new game. Games I own and loved: Super Mario Odyssey Breath of the Wild Super Mario Bros U Deluxe Donkey Kong Luigi’s Mansion 3 Untitled Goose Game Mario Kart Games I own that I don’t particularly enjoy: Civilization VI Super Smash Bros Tell me what to buy next.
I’m partial to Hollow Knight if you like side scrolling platformers with combat. It’s tough but fair and has a phenomenal atmosphere. Maybe Spyro Reignited? I’m in the middle of that and it’s great bang for your buck with 3 remasters.
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove if you haven't played it already. Same with Cuphead. Those are classic-style 2D games though, not modern 3D
https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/animal-crossing-fuck-the-nooks.180346/ Figured what the hell. What y'all selling dem nips for these days?
Getting a little worried. Added a 70 bells for this morning, haven’t checked the afternoon price yet.
Forget The Last of Us. Game of the Year is Paper Mario: Origami King‘s to lose. Honestly, though, the battle system is tedious and you should avoid as many enemies as possible as there’s no character progression. The writing, art, exploration, and music is fantastic and it is just oozing with charm like any great Nintendo first party title. Probably my favorite Switch title since Super Mario Odyssey.
It’s worth a play, but the lack of leveling up and rpg elements with the tedious battle sucks. Good game, but could have been great.
