It at least doesn’t break. It just has to recharge after a certain amount of hits. I think it has downtime of like 5 minutes or so before it can be used again. Can’t remember exactly.
The first time I dropped a tree with a bomb I was like damn, now I’m deforesting hyrule I can tell I’m old versus how I used to play video games. Run in a house, smash up all the pots, slash the chickens etc
I'm currently stuck on a mini boss because of this exact situation and it's caused me to put off playing as much.
https://www.nintendo.com/store/games/deals/ Get Hollow Knight for $7 if you haven't already Picked up Ori for $7
My last BotW replay, I didn’t do a single Divine Beast until I had activated every tower and fairy fountain, and gotten two-star upgrades for every piece of race-specific gear. Optimal way to play imo.
1. I've only found two fairy fountains so far and I have pretty much all towers and 3/4 divine beasts. I must be fucking up. 2. I've climbed all towers but Ridgeland Tower. Can't get past the shock wizards. I cooked a 3 star shock elixir and that still didn't get me past them. Also have shock resistant earrings.
I seem to recall I climbed that tower by creating a water pillar and using Revali's Gale to bypass the wizards. It's been a minute tho so I could be misremembering.
How is there not an English based version of pokken tournament. This game looks like fun but it’s all in Japanese
I guess what I mean is that it’s a Japanese game translated slightly. Watching the gameplay today it said “English” but it just felt more subtitled than a game made in English. A lot of Japanese still throughout it unless there’s multiple versions. When I still saw “pokken tournament” instead of some Americanized “Pokémon battle arena” it just felt like an opportunity
i have not played the game and know no details on it, but i'd assume there's likely not enough there to even bother making an english version of it outside of subtitles given its just a fighting game right? at most i'd assume they just gotta say "fight" and "you win" and "pikachu." but who knows, maybe they have a mortal kombatesque story mode.
You see, my post was unrelated to anything else in this thread. More of a thread prompt. It could be for anyone. But why are you not fluent in Japanese?
Just got my 6 year old his own Lite for his birthday with Minecraft dungeons and Mario soccer. He’s over the moon with it. Next I know he would love Pokémon. What would be the best intro for a 6 year old who is still learning to read? Google says let’s go pikachu maybe. also I’ve never actually played Pokémon myself (which is nuts when I had every Nintendo console since the beginning up until GameCube). I feel like I should play one to be able to experience it with him. Should I get the newest one?
While it’s not good for a Pokemon game, it’s still a Pokémon game that is functional so it works for me
My son is 6 and making his way through all the Pokémon games. He’s obsessed and has essentially stolen my Switch. Legends of Arceus was too difficult for him as I told him it would be. I need to read stuff to him every once in a while but he’s got the gist of it (these are the newer games so far. Violet then Sword then Arceus (quit) now Let’s Go Pikachu)
I’ve climbed ALL towers and I’ll have all divine beasts pretty soon if I can get through this damn thieves hideout
I didn't expect goldeneye to be great but it is basically unplayable. The controls are horrendous. I haven't played it in a bit but I have some crappy version of perfect dark on my xbox and it worked much better.
Controls are mapped so if you have the n64 controller it would be 1:1 as original. It didn’t really occur to me for a minute that I used my left hand for the trigger when using an n64 controller. So it’s “like the original” but really weird compared to any modern game. There are ways to change it though.
yea it makes you realize what a weird controller the n64 was. it took some getting used to with the switch controls, but pretty sure if I picked up an old n64 muscle memory would kick in.
I would definitely buy an N64 controller for the switch if I could find one. I would love to strafe with the yellow buttons again. Is there a knockoff?
Yea for like $20. The only reason I’d get it is for just that. Playing Goldeneye without strafing sounds like torture
So my kids have fully taken over my OG Switch. I’ve been considering the oled switch, but feel that this far into the lifecycle something new may be announced. (Pro, XL, etc)
I bought the OLED switch yesterday because my son has stolen my OG switch. I’m always 2 or so iPhone models behind so if they announce something new I’ll be fine.
