I’m guessing this is what you’d use to duplicate upgrade materials or stuff that sells for big rupees when you need to buy something?
The Reddit tip on how to toss out a zonai glider when your paraglider stamina is low is a godsend. Can alternate between the two to traverse the entire map from a tower
Yeah, I did it on diamonds while in a town. I’d go and sell 20 of them at a time, generate another 20 in a minute, and sell the next batch. I’m sitting on 50k rupees. It works on anything(non-weapon) in your inventory. Big hearty radishes, ancient blades, etc.
Nice Nice Nice. I personally never complain about the existence of glitches that get you currency in an RPG because farming that kind of stuff in a game that already is going to take 100+ hours to play through is overkill. Started with the gold bar glitch in RDR2 before that got patched and have never looked back
Tried doing this before I knew about it, but I had left out the ‘look down’ part. I was unsuccessful.
I plan on slow-grinding, unless I get to a point where a large sum is needed and I’m way short on money.
This controller advertises no stick drift. I’ve had it for a couple of years now, and no problems. GuliKit (No Stick Drift KingKong 2 Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch, First Bluetooth Controller with Hall Effect Sensing Joystick, No Deadzone, Auto Pilot Gaming, Motion Sense[New Patent] https://a.co/d/eD0G6zT
I remember the n64 was weird with “drift” if you turned on the console while holding the joystick in a direction. Any chance that causes some of the switch drift issues?
I was also convinced one time that I suddenly had drift, while playing Mario Kart. It turned out that I just had motion controls turned on. Good job, stupid.
All modern joystick controllers will drift over time (except for the specialty ones that use magnets). Joycons have a specific design flaw that allows it to happen more easily, but even the pro will eventually get it. The N64 doesn't "drift" per se, because it uses a physical twin-rotary design, but if you are holding stick in a direction when you turn on the console, then that direction will be oriented as the base location, and all movements will be relative to that. Just reset the system without touching the stick and you'll be fine.
Probably just unlucky? I’ve used the shit out of mine for 4 years and it’s still like new. And most of my game time is on Hades where you bang the fuck out of the joysticks.
Pro controllers are one of the best controllers on any platform. I’ve had one develop drift, though. In fairness, I have kids who will leave the controller on the couch, where they will accidentally be sat on, at times. Also, Hades is a fantastic game
Yep. And playing Hades with Pro Con is amazing, the joysticks are incredibly precise combined with how amazingly well that game is designed makes it perfect. It’s just a great piece of hardware especially when compared to how crap they joycons are,(my joycons had drift after a month)
Eeeh define “game breaking”. I think it has the potential to be game breaking if you use it combined with a bunch of internet guides and stuff, ie - you look up every fairy fountain and potentially OP armor online and use the resource glitch to max upgrade while you’re still in the beginning of the game. but that has a lot more to do with what’s most of the time going after something that you’d find a lot later or not at all way before you should. Using the resource glitch to upgrade them all the way is just combining two cheats into one that = game breaking. being able to afford the cold weather tunic when I get to Rito isn’t game breaking. Just saves me riding around scavenging shit to sell for ~2 hours
You’re exploiting a glitch, seems silly to waste time and energy trying to justify it as anything else. Though I suppose due to said glitching, you’ve got lots of time to do so
Literally everyone discussing it has used the term "glitch" and nobody's trying to prove it's something else. Merely a discussion of what is a "game breaking glitch" vs. what is not. I've saved myself as much time as it takes to collect 700 rupees worth of shit in the wild so that I could buy a 2nd piece of warm gear in Rito
Why would exploiting a glitch to get a ton of rupees not be game breaking? I know you’re saying you’ve used it to a lesser extent but Fusion said 50K
A game’s economy is (usually) carefully set by the developer. Item dupes and other exploits quite literally break the game’s economy — which can lead to things like character power levels being way too high too early. I personally have no problem with doing that in a single player game, but I think it’s silly to say it isn’t game breaking.
This isn't narrow at all.... Do you think "farming" resources by reloading areas is also a game breaking glitch? It accomplishes the same thing without duplicating. I could just ride around in circles in the northeast portion of the map and shoot moose, bears, and wolves and cook their meat and sell it to accomplish the exact same thing I did by duplicating 25 opals. So I'm not sure your point about breaking the game's economy holds up. Because with like 10 hours of farming food in the Hebra mountains you can get 50K without doing anything the developers didn't intend for you to do. You can make an argument that if used with the knowledge of locations of fairy fountains, how to unlock them, and what materials are needed to upgrade them to the max = glitch is game breaking because it made you too strong too early in the game... but once you get to Hyrule you can farm those materials too whether it be caves for ores or specific areas for monster parts. Duplicating is just an incredibly efficient way of farming in ToTK. It doesn't break anything in the game.
Now if someone posted that there are only X number of Rubys/Opals/Etc in the game and X number are required to upgrade these things to max level, and the total amount located in the game was less than it took to max out every item you desired, instead of having to make a choice, and you maxed out all of those items - that is a game breaking glitch. I have absolutely no idea if that's a possible scenario in ToTK because I haven't even seen a fairy fountain yet.
The duplication glitch isn’t for me. Not the way I enjoy games, but it’s weird to me that people care that others are doing it. Play the game how you want…. Some of the social media rage over players doing it is laughable
Glitching things for rupees doesn’t do a whole lot anyway. There’s only so much you can buy and really, the weather armor is the only useful stuff. Like, I glitched to 50k rupees and have played a lot of hours since then and I’m still at 48k. You just don’t spend it. Now duping big hearty radishes and ancient arrow tips is a different story…
How long does it take you to dupe enough opals to get 10k rupees? How long does it take you to farm enough opals in the caves to get 10k rupees? How long does it take you to farm enough moose/bear/whatever to get 10k rupees?
think dude says it's 46 minutes for 5100 rupees farming food in Hebra duplicating enough opals to get 5100 rupees worth is anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes depending on how "good" you are at the duplicating shit. I'm averaging 1 successful dupe every ~4 tries. I have no idea how long it would take to farm opals in caves, that's just the only material I had that was worth more than 20 rupees that I had 5 of (can't dupe with less than 5 of something to my knowledge).
Bet those people on social media are also on youtube looking up where to get the best sets of armor and all the info on great fairies to upgrade.
Yeah I don’t care how those guys play or if they exploit a glitch, it was the defending of it. Even if I thought less of it, who gives a shit
I have created a throne with the skulls of moblins. I've also smashed a lot of rocks, set up a lot of signs. I think I have 10-11 pieces of clothing and have enchanted most of them at least once.
Also I named all my horses stupid stuff, but my first one was buttercup as a reference to half baked .
I was thrilled to see Roach again at the stables. Very cool of them to give you back the BoTW horses.
Got a little chuckle out of my 2nd BotW horse that was one of the basic breeds. Named him Stove and only has like 25 relationship points. Poor Stove
I accidentally mounted a deer yesterday for a couple of seconds, tried to calm it but it threw me off
