Hope that Nwakali loan to Porto works out but just seems so risky. He may not be ready for that level and even if he's good enough, would they play him over their guys.
Our loans never seem to work out. Actually do any English big team loans work out, struggling to think of anyone
Was literally going to say that. I don’t think if your a half top of the league side, loans are by in large, useless.
They’re having a bunch of financial issues and are selling a lot of players, hopefully we’ve been given some assurances of playing time. Don’t think it’s as risky as it would have been in the past. Edit: and it blows my mind that Porto is having money problems (haven’t looked into why) considering the massive fees they were getting for players annually
I always forget about that with Brazilian and Portuguese clubs. Fair play to Arsene for not dealing with that shit but we definitely missed out on a lot of talent.
No, which is why the refusal to implement B teams continues to be baffling. English FA chooses route one, kick the opponent football clubs over the best young players getting game time. Spain and Germany have it figured out. There are no German B teams in Liga 3, the clubs that are ran well in England wouldn't have anything to worry about. Porto is way too high a level for him, he might train but won't get significant game time.
How the hell is Porto having a bunch of financial issues? They have sold about a billion dollars worth of players lately.
think a lot of those players had third party ownership. idk if that’s the sole reason, but it may have contributed to it.
If he’s just positionally aware and doesn’t panic, he’ll be miles better than Mustafi. Even if he’s a slow as Per.
I don't understand outfitting companies, had PUMA done retro shirts they would have sold 5-10x more than the shit they put out this year. I want Adidas bad.
I wish him well but if you’re implying we should have signed him over Emery I strongly disagree with you. Lukaku’s dummy for the last goal was amazing, no idea if Henry had anything to do with that. On another note I’ve never seen someone look like Henry the way Mbappe does, especially that last game.
Sounds good to me. Pops will be a city boy in no time and it’s really nice to hear we’ve essentially got it wrapped up.
Bierhoff obliterated Ozil today, won't have to worry about Mesut on international breaks anymore. I really wonder where his head will be at...
1 hand, think Ozil has been weak with skipping so many away trips Another, he's getting blamed for the german wc exit when he was nowhere near one of the worst performers and getting it bc he's Turkish/muslim Would love nothing more than for him to shut up the haters but doubt it happens. Sure he'll be fine making kids with his supermodel wife and tens of millions; not gonna feel too bad.
Bierhoff: 1 Seria A title, 1 Euro Özil: 1 German, 1 Spanish, 3 English domestic cups 1 La Liga title and 1 World Cup (also a u21 euro title) You’d hope Özil would brush it off or use it as motivation but he doesn’t strike me as the Russell Westbrook type
Eh, this is all about the Erdogan picture, not play on the field. The DFB is partly responsible for this becoming such a big distraction, and Bierhoff has admitted as much. Scapegoats must be sacrificed when a big team fails so spectacularly. Looking forward to a rested Mesut to start the season.
