Just reminded me of how Josh has become more involved with the club and wanted Henry as manager. God damn our ownership is dumb.
Will make Friday's atmosphere that much better, looking forward to that. May have to crack open some beers for that.
Can’t wait to watch... being self-employed has me working every weekend. I plan on turning in the Jax arsenal supporters club as my personal networking event moving forward. I hate missing games like today
Hector is such a huge loss but I have confidence in Ainsley at RB (but not the other two). Sucks because he was just now getting midfield minutes.
Emery needs to give Guendouzi a defined role like he did today, played well but still don't wanna see him vs teams we're clearly better than. If we beat United, beat Cardiff, then get destroyed by City; I'll be happy.
and that's probably longer than an acl, not sure how that's good news. Problems with acls though is soccer players seem to fuck it up again after they recover, Europe seems way behind us in that department.
Guendouzi was good today. If we’re gonna have a shit back 4 (most days), then we need to stick with that 3. Really like what I saw there.
Vs pretty much any side besides the top 6 if all these are healthy -----------striker-- -Iwobi--Ozil-------Ramsey- -----Xhaka--Torreira- Nacho-Kos-Sokratis--AMN I guess
Ramsey was good today but he'd be shit vs most teams if we're playing 2 strikers, he needs that room to make his runs into the box and it's not there if we have most the possession and playing 2 strikers.
I liked how he was deployed today. Before he was spearheading the 3 when defending and it allowed all sorts of shit behind him. Ramsey sitting in the middle with the 2 strikers actually in striker positions was really effective defensively. Attacking, it would be better to have Özil there...
We also scored on 2 set pieces today, our performance vs Tottenham was a lot better than today. Great game plan but Emery has a lot to prove to me.
We kinda did to them what other teams used to do to us. They had some possession in the final third, but we just choked out every attack.
Yeah, I liked the performance but we have to evolve and not have another West Ham or Brighton again. 2 of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen from an attacking standpoint.
Kinda want to see today’s formation with Özil sitting behind Auba and Ramsey. If he’d play 67% of the D Ramsey does, that would be a pretty interesting look.
Other note, even if he didn’t score today still think Kos was most important player out there. First time he looked like the old Laurent since being back. Even though he looks like a clone of himself gone wrong.
