Not sure. I'm doing this as a single one. However, I wonder if they've done mine as a "reactivation" rather than a new account (I had an account very briefly early this year). No worries.
ramszoolander you can try mine Here's a referral code to get a $20 credit when you join Project Fi! Redeem it at https://g.co/fi/r/UPE06T
Well my wife and her entire family use iPhones and they always include me in all their stupid family group messages and I get all their messages even when I delete the group. as soon as someone else responds in the group message, it comes right back. I've never had any issues responding to any of the group messages either whether it was to the entire group or just someone in the group individually.
Does anyone have any experience with Chromebooks? I'm looking into and my main uses would be school and work (Google Docs 99% of the time). Is this a better way to go (cheap/longer battery life) vs a traditional laptop? Jeffrey Lebowski
I have to do a lot of ppw for my job. I bought a refurbished Samsung chrombook when I first started and used that shit for two years. Finally wore out the battery.
Posting from my new chromebook. Holy shit this thing is quick. Setting up a VPN was a headache but I finally got it.
Chromebooks are nice as basic internet machines. Haven't used one since they got the ability to install apps off the Play Store though. Have to think it's a bit of a game changer for Chromebooks. Might consider one if I switch into a career where I don't need to do any work from home.
So in the spirit of being a cheap phone user (Straight Talk customer) I was torn on the idea of a new phone. I wanted a Pixel but just could not justify 700 out of pocket for a phone. So then I went on a search for a "good“ phone for less than $400. Yesterday I received the Huawei Honor 6x in the mail and so far I'm impressed. Their UI isn't horrible but still is a little clunky coming from stock. Specs are in the link but so far I like it. Biggest drawbacks are lack of NFC and no USB C. http://m.gsmarena.com/huawei_honor_6x-8388.php
Not a bad phone but be very weary of taking any updates. Huawei has an awful track record of breaking their phones via updated.
Can I just say how fucking retarded it is that when you chromecast something it shows up on everybody's phone that is on the same network? That means anyone on the network can control the chromecast. So much for using it at the hotel tonight.
I've read a bunch about that. EMUI 4.1 seems to 2nd quarter of 17 is supposed to be the update to 7.0 We'll see. I'm trying to be optimistic that an enjoyable mobile experience can be had on a $250 device for $50/month.
That's doable for sure. I've owned two different Moto Gs. You just generally can't really trust any of the Asian manufacturers to give you timely updates if any at all, they tend to be the most notorious release and abandon manufacturers.
Liked for finally hearing how to pronounce Huawei Google shouldn't allow OEMs to use Android on their phones if they refuse to release their devices on the most recent OS. It's a disservice to the greater Android community.
So my 6p only gets like 5 hours of battery life and it shuts down at like 15 percent. Really pisses me off.
I've heard about the early shutdown problem. Lucky you get to 15%, read some folks are getting it at like 30% and higher. If that ever starts happening to my 6P I'm pulling the trigger and switching to iPhone.
Yea I just Googled it and it's a known issue. People saying it shuts down with as much as 85% life left. Why iPhone over pixel?
I know you can disable that for your own phone in the google settings, but is it open for everyone else if you're on a public network like that?
I want pure Android (as in what the Nexus/Pixel phones are like) without having to wait forever for OS updates without having to pay iPhone like prices. The biggest appeal for Android is the vast selection of phones at various different price points, but to get Android the way it's intended, I'm essentially limited to two Pixel phones. The iOS ecosystem (apps, accessories, etc.) is just superior. If I'm going to pay iPhone like prices for an Android I want to have access to an equally great ecosystem for my device. Pure Android with timely updates + that level of ecosystem doesn't exist in Android because Google has thus far refused to get the OEMs in line and it doesn't appear they ever have any intention of doing it.
Yeah. Literally shows up on every single android phone on the same wifi. I'm staying in a giant hotel and keep chromecasting shit just to annoy everyone. Fuck you people and fuck you google. Way to nuke your own product. People let it get ~15 to 45 seconds in and kill it on their phones thus killing it on my tv.
I think so yes. Maybe no more than. That though. In the end it's just a toy. (Until they fix the horizontal positioning then it's the best way to watch porn)
Getting frustrated with the battery usage in chrome/chrome beta. Does anyone use a different browser on mobile data that they like better?
TugaBrowser but it's not available in the play store. It's in the XDA Lab or whatever it's called. It's essentially a fork of Chrome but has an included ad blocker and several other cool features.
Must be. They show up and load 95% of the time but sometimes they don't. I think I read Mix said that they will stay on "loading" if the tweet had been deleted.
My Pixel shows up tomorrow, has anyone flashed a custom ROM and/or kernel that is stable with better battery performance or is everyone running stock on Pixels? I haven't run stock since '09 but haven't flashed a new build in like 2 years either.
I froze the app in titanium backup and restarted, but it didn't work. I'll uninstall and see if that works. I just really hate seeing ads in apps.
We should have all bought stock right after the Note 7 shit. The South Korean tech giant reported quarterly profit of 9.2 trillion won ($7.9 billion) on Tuesday, up 50% from a year earlier to its highest level in three years. http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/24/technology/samsung-earnings-note-7-profits/index.html
My 6p has started shutting down at 50%. Apparently it gets worse when it's cold. There are reports that the Pixel has the same issue. Two days in a row my phone has randomly died after making sure it's charged before I'm out. I'm tempted to buy a fucking iPhone.
Can't blame you. At the prices Google is charging for the Pixels, it no longer makes sense to make sacrifices on the phones like you could make the argument for on the Nexus phones (other than the 6)
Need to get a new phone since my HTC One M8 has been not receiving some text messages (seemingly randomly) and the battery life after so many years is garbage. Love the physical aspects of the phone and wish there was something newer in the same (aluminum unibody/water-resistant) mold but don't think there is. HTC just announced they're not releasing a major flapship phone this year like in the past so . I'm not really wanting to get the Pixel but do need to go ahead and get a new phone. Can't decide if I should just pull the trigger and buy a phone I don't love (like Pixel or maybe HTC 10) or if I should buy another M8 online somewhere and use it for a few more months until the market provides something I really want. Any input appreciated.
my 6p began fucking up with the battery issue and dying early. Im a little frustrated to say the least. Tried flashing a new rom to see if that helps but I doubt it since everything I've read says its a hardware issue.
