I ordered mine October 8th and it was delivered November 2nd. The initial delivery estimate was 11/10. However, I'm out of town for work so it's just sitting at home waiting for me to get back on November 17th.
Do it! Ditched my iPhone in 2013 for a Note II. Then went Nexus 5, Pixel and now Pixel 2 XL. I have a iPhone for work and I hate it. I can't handle not having a Back button.
Few questions anyone have issues with their s7 edge or any Android dropping home wifi? I had to change my route to ipv4 to stop it. You think its worth switching to sprint from Verizon. The unlimited plan for sprint is about the same as the 14gb plan from Verizon my wife and I have( with 25 percent off from her work). One of phones is paid off December and the other is 70 percent done with payment plan. They are both dinged up so trading in is not an option.
Other way around Verizon to sprint. The only benefit really is getting unlimited and some rebates. My phone is pissing me off with the wifi thing as the router thing still didn't fix it
Anyone got the Moto X4? Looks like it is pretty solid, has everything I want other than wireless charging. Could get that, sell my S8, profit.
Anyone do the trade in through Google for the pixel get their credit yet. These motherfuckers have had my phone for nearly a month and still only in the accessing stage.
On the topic of the Pixel 2 XL screen, I installed the developer preview for Android 8.1 today and it has the "saturated" setting for colors which makes the display look more like what people are used to as opposed to the muted, more natural color spectrum the phone had at launch. I enabled it and thought it was a bit much at first but then I put it up next to my monitor with TMB or other sites on it and it definitely matches better.
Nope. Mine's been great, zero issues. Longevity will tell the tale though, I try to get 2 years out my phones. The standouts have been how smooth and snappy it is, the battery life, and the camera.
For the record, Google issued updates that fixed the screen on the XL 2. Basically Google was using a color profile that produced more natural colors, but basically every electronic device with a screen typically uses a color profile with more saturated colors. Believe you can use either color profile on the XL 2 now, but I could be mistaken on that.
I tried the new profile(s) they added and they look way oversatured compared to the stock setting. Having toggled them all, I prefer the stock setting. To me, that would mean all the color/saturation blog posts, complaints and comments (sans blue off axis) were wayyy overblown.
I need some help from you guys. My tablet has a shattered screen and i have things i need to transfer off of it. Everything i find on google says i have to hook it up to a PC to extract. I dont own a PC so i was wondering if yall know of a way to transfer from tablet to tablet or tablet to phone sd card. Both tablets i have are android as are both of my phones. So im hoping there is some app or whatever i can use. Thanks guys.
Can you still use the tablet? Can you run apps? If yes, just use a FTP server on the tablet and a FTP client on the phone to download from the tablet to the phone. Let me know if you want more details.
Thank you sir. Ill check into this. I will pm you if i have any questions. I am able to use the tablet sort of. The touch screen works on the top left quarter. So i have to flip the damn thing all different directions to get certain things to work. Sucks
well boys I might be done with Google depending on what happens when I finish with support. I've seen people complaining about how this trade in program was trying to scam them and hoped they wouldn't do it to me but alas here I am smh.
That sucks. Just got my trade in. Got the full $350 but it took them like a month to evaluate my phone.
yeah they tried to claim I had a damaged screen and instead of the 400.00 I was supposed to get they offered $250.00 when I called they offered my $50.00 because they are saying there were dead pixels on the screen which is bullshit. they've had my phone since Oct. 29th and after almost two months now they're trying to lowball me. It embarassing how bad Google has handled this entire thing. my wife has done three Iphone upgrade trade ins already and has never had an issue and gets her credit back in less than a week.
Can you get the phone back? If they quoted me less I was going to demand it back and sell it to a friend.
I don't want it back if they don't fix it I'll be done with google. I'll get rid of this XL 2 and get an Iphone and Google can eat shit for trying to nickel and dime consumers that are trying to be loyal to them.
that sucks, but I don't believe Google is carrying out the return/trade in function. I believe they subcontracted out another company to do so.
yeah its a third party company but doesn't matter they're doing business as Google so it's a Google problem if it doesn't get rectified.
I'm waiting for Action Launcher to add folders in the app drawer. Only reason why I am still using Nova
I really only use my phone to text, browse the web and listen to music but I have seen friends playing HQ Trivia on their iPhones and it looked fun so I wanted to DL it. Looks like it will be coming to Android soon, granted later than expected http://www.businessinsider.com/hq-trivia-delays-android-app-release-2017-12
I still haven't gotten my trade in for my pixel XL. Also the XL 2 seems to be running a little slow. I hate to say it but I kinda think I shouldve just stuck with the XL and not spent 1000 bucks. Time to at least root this bitch.
Finally got confirmation Google received my Pixel and they assessed it at the full $360. Was worried I was going to have to argue with them after reading all the horror stories
My Nexus 6P battery took a full dive in performance the last two weeks, it could barely hold an hour long charge. Went with the Pixel 2 I got my wife in October, XL 2 was too much. Thankfully Google should be giving me $75ish for trade-in though it was $150 a month ago. Absolutely love this phone after a week, no regrets. The no headphone jack will take some getting used to, does anyone have a recommendation for a dual USB C plug that charges and let's you plug in headphones? All the Amazon options don't appear to work for Google phones.
see if your CC that you bought your 6p has the benefit of extending the warranty by one year. i just submitted my claim for my dads 6p I bought him. should hear back on Monday from Chase's contractor that handles the claims. It would mean i don't have to pay the egregious $164 battery replacement fee from Huawei.
It was crazy how quickly it eroded, the battery hadn't been doing well for a while but mid-December it just shit itself. Not sure what Amex would have done about it but probably a mute point now that the phone is off to Google already. I was also unhappy with some of the lag as new apps took up more processing power/space, likely time to upgrade since the two year mark was here.
In October when I got rid of mine, I was getting maybe 2 hours of screen time and it was shutting off when I had like ~25% left on the battery. Hopefully the pixel doesn't have the same problem because I'd like to get > 2 years out of it
