I used my 200 credit to get the earbuds and the 30 credit from that to buy the case but I can't read and they won't be delivered for a month
Plenty of ~$15 solutions on Amazon. I grabbed the Caseology. I think this is my 3rd phone in a row with this case Caseology Parallax for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Case 5G [3D Ergonomic Design](2024) - Ash Gray https://a.co/d/hZVs33r
I did the same on the buds and got $30 also. Can't wait to buy something else and get $10 in store credit. Never ending loop
This is the case I got and it's pretty good. Don't think I'll ever buy anything other than Spigen Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Pixel 9 Pro XL Case (2024) [Military-Grade Protection] - Matte Black https://a.co/d/4BfAvCR
Ive had Mous for the last two and loved it, the one they're putting out for the fold only offers "minimal protection" though...
I upgraded from the P7P. The display is definitely noticeably better. It is definitely snappier/quicker. I feel like the speakers are better but my P7P was down to one working speaker so i might not be impartiaI. It feels a little better in the hand. At the end of the day, it's standard Android so the software will be the exact same experience.
a big no to paying more than $100/$200 to upgrade from the Pixel 7 lineup, unless something is failing on the current phone. cell phones are super iterative right now and there aren't many changes worth plunking down cash for. I guess main points would be a slightly brighter screen, new battery, slightly faster CPU, and fresh warranty. Google is expected to make a big jump next year (the new CPU wasn't ready possibly because the P9 launch timeline was moved up) for the Pixel 10 series. A 7x or 10x optical sensor has to be coming soon too.
The new modem has been fantastic for me so far and absolutely no overheating which my P7P suffered from often. The 9 definitely feels like an improved phone for sure.
I went from the 6 pro the 9xl and honestly the differences are pretty minimal. I just get a new phone itch every few years
I use my phone outside a lot and my 7pro regularly overheated in the summer if I was using something with the GPS running (had it replaced twice) Haven't had that problem so far, but it's been relatively cool out
I like getting the upgraded camera specs on new phones but it's nothing like it was 6-8 years ago where each new phone was a big leap forward
I wasn't at all excited for the P9. With the hardware looking like it was just a holdover release to get to the 10, it had me questioning if I should even order it vs going with last year's Pixel 8. After spending a week with the P9PXL, this is the best phone I've ever owned and it's not even close.
Here's a watch review if anyone needs one. https://www.tomsguide.com/wellness/smartwatches/google-pixel-watch-3-review
I've been FI since the Pixel XL. Never had any problems and I am excite about this watch. Delayed Delivers Nov 27 - Nov 29 You'll get an email when it ships
I ordered the 45mm with no frame of reference. Hopefully it doesn't look clownishly huge on my wrist.
Thanks for this. Didn't expect my wife to be interested, but she was. You just got me off the hook for Xmas, king.
Great news! Your order is awaiting carrier pickup. Tracking will update when your package is in transit (allow up to 24 hours). Delivers Nov 21
One thing I'm excited for is turn by turn directions on my wrist. We travel to places where you really don't want to be pulling your phone out every few minutes to see where you're going so being able to glance at your wrist to see the next turn will be cool. Also directions while cycling and being able to leave my phone at home will be cool.
Wife got hers today. Mine is coming tomorrow. Literally thanks to your post. I owe you like 50 likes.
Got my watch today. Anyone buy any accessories? I bought a couple of cases and some cheapo bands until I find one I like.
I was pretty shocked that the metal links band was like $200. It's not for me, so I'm sure my wife will be fine with the plastic one, but damn.
Yeah, I pre-bought some cheapo Chinese stretchy type bands off of Amazon. They're alright. The band that came with it has no give and I normally where my regular watches a little lose. I understand that the watch has to be in constant contact so I figured I'd try some stretchy ones. It's gonna be trial and error but I love having options of bands and stuff. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CM5YT3TV Bought these cases https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DD4ZF9JM and one that comes with a screen protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DC6SSXGB Been eyeing these leather strap https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DHPBTG8B
Yeah, the Skagen-type bands look nice (to me) on smartwatches. I'm just not a smartwatch person at all, although I do understand the appeal (and usefulness).
