Stayed very clean here and thankfully didnt lose power. Pretty fortunate. Buddy sent me some pics from his neighborhood in Augusta. Tons of trees down, into houses. Looked bad.
Anyone else wake up to the phone alert at 3AM? Just to tell them that the chlorine from the biolab in Conyers was "UNLIKELY TO CAUSE HARM TO MOST PEOPLE." Super annoying.
Also, finally trying Blue Plate night at Whoopsie’s. Love this place, and it’s definitely my favorite neighborhood restaurant. On Fridays and Saturdays they serve the best prime rib I’ve ever had.
@west side folks, went to Frazie’s Meat & Market in Riverside for a sandwich. This place is phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Bet it feels great upstairs at Florida Man right now. We hit up the Botanical Gardens this morning right when they opened at 9. It was a wonderful hour or so until a bunch of kids showed up for some sort of Halloween festivity. No complaints with them being loud and having fun outside, but I need complete silence in the tropical rotunda when I’m trying to locate calling dart frogs in the exhibit.
Mikkelson's Market opened in my neighborhood. Same owners as JenChan's in Cabbagetown. Anyway, they serve tunsbrõdrulle on Thursdays -- a Swedish late night dish I'd never heard of until they opened, and it looks really good. Planning on preordering one for Thursday as apparently they're selling out pretty quickly. https://mikkelsonsmarket.com/ Spoiler: Tunsbrõdrulle
I’ve got a cafe dishwasher and it’s fine but nothing special. My fridge is the only remaining appliance from the previous owner and it’s a POS Maytag that won’t get cold. I’m thinking it’s the compressor but idk. Wife wants a new one but that’s gonna take too long.
I spent about $500 on replacing two motherboards and a fucking new dishwasher cost like $500. My cleaners also broke my nice brand new GE under-counter microwave b/c it has some shitty plastic piece inside of the door button that broke. So I continue to use my 15 year old piece of shit mini microwave

I was wondering the same. Fred’s is solid, but I’m not real sure it’s deserving either. Ford may have greased a palm or two.
I was bummed the west midtown location closed due to pure convenience, but now we eat twice as frequently at Nuevo Laredo so maybe it’s been a bit of a net positive all things considered.
just a fat boy that likes some good food. Everyone in there does a great job explaining the courses and the food is off the chart, happy they got the recognition.
I have eaten at a number of Michelin star, including Le Bernardin, and I think Omakase table is my best meal.
The QC at the Works location is insane. I know they’ve got a commissary somewhere near Sweetwater Brewing, but given the amount of people they serve, the product is always on par with DeKalb Ave which isn’t an easy thing to do.
They have it next to their Q-osk on Armour over by sweetwater. It's a pretty big facility from what I can tell
I was thinking about how few movies I've seen filming here this year, and then looked it up, and turns out it's true. It's an industry wide trend, but I wonder if our year over year decrease the same or more than what the industry as a whole is showing. If the Georgia decrease is at a higher rate, I wonder if there is a reason that production are choosing to shoot outside of Georgia. Makes me a little sad, but would make me less sad if it's just because production has been down across the board, and not because Georgia is losing footing in the industry. https://www.ajc.com/things-to-do/wh...-in-november-2024/5RZ5HLH4PJGIHE6T5YEIW73J4I/ This is what google says when I googled it.
