The one at the office. Unfortunately for some this may still involve a drop off or uber. The fast getaway on the marta train out of the airport is vastly underrated.
The Beltline would be better (see more profitable) if it was all ghost kitchens and then the DoorDash drivers could scooter your food to you on the Beltline. We would of course ban pedestrians so that they don’t interfere with the deliveries.
By tortoise do you mean eastern box turtle? Regardless, turtles are on the move right now looking for mates and nesting sites, and removing an individual from their home range will result in said individual attempting to return to their established territory. If there’s no imminent danger (e.g., helping it cross a road or traverse a man made obstacle) it’s always best to let them be.
Yes, that's exactly what it is. I'm probably a quarter mile from water, so I was just wondering if I could help it out by taking it to the nearest pond
They’re terrestrial for all intents and purposes, but they will utilize shallow springs, seeps, and small creeks for foraging, thermoregulation, and traversing habitats. They can’t swim (they’ll walk along shallow stream bottoms when fully submerged) and will easily drown in deeper water, so steer it clear of the ponds. That individual has likely been hanging around your neck of the woods for a while as site fidelity and homing instincts are very strong in the species as previously stated.
What do they eat? I might put some food near it and leave it alone and go back tomorrow and see what's up
They’re omnivores though mature adults often lean more towards the herbivore scale (berries, mushrooms, shoots, etc.) The one pictured that I came across Monday happily gobbled down a few earthworms I dug up and placed in front of it.
If you had to pick 2 restaurants and one "attraction" to go to in Atl where would you go? Coming down this weekend for the Braves/Dodgers series and my wife and I will have Friday and Saturday afternoon to explore.
Taking MARTA down for PJ last night and then walking across the park and wandering before and after around downtown with the crowds from both PJ and Kendrick Lamar was so very Atlanta in every aspect.
assuming no kids, I would start out at the MLK National Park and Ebenezer Baptist Church. Then walk Irwin Street to Krog Market area. Get lunch at Superica or Ladybird. Then bar crawl beltline up to Ponce City Market rooftop, assuming weather is good. Great vistas, shopping for her downstairs, and restaurants. the per se attractions are downtown mostly. National Center for Civil Rights before it gets dismantled. World of Coca Cola. There is the High Museum of Art and Fernbank Museum of Natural History, but you can see stuff like that in any metro mostly, given there are no unique evenets at either rn. West Midtown howell mill corridor or Chattahoochee Food Works are other areas you could crush an afternoon. edit: Atlanta basically has neighborhood/village festivals every weekend. Decatur Arts Festival is this weekend. And downtown Decatur is never a bad time.
I'm a pretty diehard PJ guy so that might cloud my judgement a bit but it was great. Eddie still has it for the most part, they always give a great show. Crowd was awesome. Just an all around good time. And you can generally snag tickets last minute for a reasonable amount on ticketmaster because of their face value rate deal with TM.
60% of the time I’ve left Lindbergh station the gate was up so I left without paying. Don’t report me
I’ve always had problems with them working. But I still have to pay my $8 a day in the Marta owned long term lot no? I’ve been paying that.
city's civil engineering negligence (perhaps State's too given Northside isnt density friendly) is going to wreck that corridor. I mean it will always exist, just will be a different vibe with more chain restaurants that can swallow the rent.
Looking for a therapist recommendation if any of y’all could help. Midtown area would be great but happy to drive elsewhere. Many thanks.
