“I’ve been here for five days” Bills burned through an ounce of Oregon’s finest and rode the fuck out of his bike.
Walton has led an incredible life. Won 2 NCAA titles at UCLA. Won a NBA championship title as the main player. Got hurt. Won another coming off the bench for the Celtics years later. Followed around the Dead for decades. Gets to call basketball games w/o really preparing for them for years. I'm jealous.
Totally agree. Let’s not forget that he also raised a son who was also a 2x NBA champion and is now the coach of the fucking Lakers. Incredible life.
In our game the other night against USC there was a segment where he visited our neuroimaging center, to confirm whether there was anything up there obviously
I've said it on here a million times, but his greatest line was "Robby Horry is the greatest Inbounds passer in NBA history".
Autzen is having a concert for the first time in 20+ years. Grateful Dead. 100% chance Walton will be there high as fuck.
I'm so jealous of that. Having friends parents tell us about seeing shows in Tuscaloosa always made me mad because we never got anything cool, until I graduated and they built the amphitheater.
I would love to read one of Bill's college papers. It would be either intellectually stimulating or some of the most inane babble ever put on paper. Either way, it'd be worth reading.
I honestly didn't realize people didn't like Walton until today. Everything he says is tongue in cheek.
Kind of like Steve Martin, I've always felt like Bill Walton is one of those people who anybody--regardless of race, gender, region, political leanings, etc.--would enjoy. I suppose I was wrong, though.
