“Gaddis blew a two run lead last night, let’s put him in today and see what happens. No way he does it again.”
somehow this team is leading the american league in runs scored (and is tied for second in the majors behind philly).
On a per dollar basis, Kwan has to be the best bargain in baseball. Insane hitter, gold glove outfield. $800k contract Under club control for three more years, but just sign him to a long term deal this off season Please
Josh GIDP in 1st Bo ground out with two on in 2nd Bo K with two on in 6th Josh ground out with one on in 7th Bo ground out with two on in 8th Josh GIDP in 9th Had to be a record for one family LOB in one game
You have to go Condon or Bazzana at 1.1 If they try to make a deal with the kid from WVU or Florida to save slot space and cheap out, I'll be sick
13 runs in their last 8 games if they don't score the last three innings tonight Excluding the 8th inning in Game 1 of Padres series, its 7 runs in 8 games This is pathetic
Please do something at the deadline Need a starter, need one more bat. Just took 2 of 3 on the road from the team with the best record in baseball, we can hoard prospects all we want, but this could be the year to make the run
After the win Friday against the Orioles, I texted my buddy that other than the '97 Indians and a couple of the LeBron Cavs teams, this is probably the first time in my life that any sports team I root for would clearly be #1 in power rankings of that sport Of course they've dropped 5 straight since then Need to at least split this weekend in Minnesota - rough last five days and looks like the deadline didn't do enough for us
Not to be all doom and gloom, but I have been saying I doubt Cleveland even makes the playoffs for a couple of weeks. The advanced stats hate them. Starting pitching is the second worst in baseball. The bullpen has been the best, but we have seen them get worn out from overuse before. Add in 30 of the last 48 games are against playoff teams. The 18 that aren't are against Texas, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Cincy, the Cubs, and White Sox. The only pushovers are the White Sox, but they also decided to only play well against Cleveland. I hope I'm wrong, but Bibee resting a bit with shoulder fatigue doesn't do much for morale. .500 still means 91 wins, but .500 against that remaining schedule will be tough.
Yeah - they've gotta split this series - period, full spot. Team doesn't have enough starting pitching, and you are absolutely correct that the advanced metrics, luck metrics, etc. have all been pointing to a large correction coming, which is happening now with 5 straight L's. Painful but the front office also pretty much signaled on the deadline they weren't believers either Have to do just enough to keep a playoff spot as missing the playoffs with such an amazing first 110 games would be a disaster, but its going to be clinging to hope
it feels like we haven't had an early inning lead since 1998. the starting pitching on this team is AA quality. have enjoyed the season, but it's gonna take a god damn miracle to avoid finishing third in the division
Was bored so added it up - since last Friday Kwan and Naylor are a combined 4-54 Ramirez also 2-24 lol That's almost unbelievable
If they continue to give Skubal called strikes to balls that are clearly out of the strike zone, then I’m not sure what the hitters are going to do today.
Felt like everything was going our way. Noel made one of the best throws you'll ever see. Kwan one of the best catches. Missed opportunity with the Fry GIDP that seemed to be building into a run in the bottom of the ninth after Clase got the first two out ... then all ended in one swing At least the Tigers haven't been able to hit
fun season, but watching the offense flop around like a dying fish is an october tradition i've grown very tired of watching
