i can't wait to get to prime matchmaking. cheating below that level is rampant. i can accept being beaten by better players... in fact, i'm fine with that. but i will not accept that certain people can "hear" me through smoke on a consistent basis. one of my regular comp buddies revealed to me that he has been cheating the whole time we've been playing together. he's 20 or something, but for me it's like... why? just play the game and let the ranks fall where they may.
also in the vein of what fsck~ has said, my gamesense is embarrassingly low. the number of easy shots i set up for myself is so much lower than it should be. i don't have amazing aim but i do okay in deathmatch and pistol deathmatch. but then i give up easy deaths for no good reason in comp games, and i look like a scrub :/
one thing that helped me a lot was watching pro matches and trying to see what they do in clutches, rotates, crossfires, etc. even in the lower levels, all that stuff plus holding angles and using utility can set you up for some easy kills.
fsck~ do you run an autoexec? i have been experimenting with one with keybindings for binds, cl_showpos, and a jump throw bind, but wasn't sure if there was something i was missing.

So shroud played every round of the tourney C9 won today with an AUG or SG. New meta confirmed. I played a DM with the SG and I actually felt a lot more confident in securing kills than with an AK at certain spots. Probably due to my lack of good movement/counter strafing and the SG having way lower max spread.

i just spent $25 on boxes and keys tonight, ama. i didn't get anything good. i've hit a plateau of sorts. i've gotten kind of good at deathmatch but in comp games i hesitate or freeze up. probably doesn't help that i'm willing to play a sort of "support" role, ie sitting on the unpopular sites, being first out as terrorist evem though my skill isn't there yet, etc.
i would honestly just switch up your role. i ended up really liking being an entry fragger, and then i settled into more of an A bombsite anchor on most maps. just be greedy in comp unless you're playing with an actual team. also, i feel you on the unboxing luck. i have pretty shit skins for the most part.

i was mad when i posted that maybe like 2 comp wins away. i had to give up last night after getting multiple brazilians in two games in a row. they weren't bad players or anything, i just couldn't understand a damn thing they said other than "apartamente!" and they seem to be amazed that other brazilians play counter-strike. like when dogs bark to each other over a fence.

Yeah he joined like 2 days before Summit. Was on Misfits before then with everyone just waiting on which of the top 3 teams would pick him up. I didn't even think it was him (so many kids pretending to be pro players) until he went off at the end of the game carrying us, then checked that it matched his real profile on esea.
