I made fun of Jenny for not knowing how to drive a stick. You need to learn to read. I said nothing about cars with automatic transmissions. Hell, I drive an auto... But I know how to drive a stick, as any red-blooded American should.
Ugh. You were making fun of him for driving an automatic by inferring that he can't drive a stick. For the reasons aforementioned, this is dumb. I'm glad you know how to operate a manual transmission. In a few more years that skill will be almost as useful as my ability to rebuild a carburetor and set points in a distributor.
evidently he drank some alcohol, TMZ made a headline, and now the Browns are thinking about benching him seems fair
Officially has been demoted to 3rd string for the Cleveland Browns. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...rterback?campaign=tw-nf-sf15938925-sf15938925 Spoiler Browns name Josh McCown starting quarterback 18 Cleveland Browns have made another switch at the quarterback position. Every game, all season A week after naming Johnny Manziel the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the season, the Browns will revert to veteran signal-caller Josh McCown, the team announced. Manziel has been demoted to the No. 3 quarterback position on the depth chart, behind Austin Davis. "Josh McCown will be the starting quarterback on Monday night against the Ravens," coach Mike Pettine said in a team-issued statement. "I informed the quarterbacks of that decision after I sat down and spoke with Johnny, Flip (John DeFilippo) and Kevin (O'Connell) after practice today. Johnny will be the third quarterback. I've spoken to Ray (Farmer) and Jimmy (Haslam) to inform them of my decision, and they are in full support." Around the NFL will have more on this story shortly. [/spoiler/
I'd imagine this marks the end of Jenny as a Cleveland Brown. The Organization has pretty much just chose Pettine over him.
Dustin Fox @DustinFox37 6m6 minutes ago A new first.. a die hard #Browns fan (male) just cried on the air with us. These people are so passionate it amazes me. 1:20 PM - 24 Nov 2015 · Details
Audio of the crying fan on the air... https://soundcloud.com/keithbritton-1/caller-bill-emotional-on-brownsmp3
Did the caller actually identify themselves as male? If not, then Dustin needs to know he should be checking his male privilege, and not identify someone's gender without affirmation from the person in question ahead of time.
Where did I claim to be? You just made something up and I called you on it. Now you're mad about that. Sorry not sorry.
I didn't make anything up, you didn't call me on it, and I don't care. JM is notorious for his alcohol abuse and cocaine consumption. I don't understand how you could even consider making that something you'd try to argue about on here srs.
Checking yourself into rehab != admitting you have a problem You win the internet again. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2015/02/how_johnny_manziel_raised_his.html
"Admitting you have a problem" doesn't mean "He admitted he had an alcohol problem". He could have gone to rehab for coke, weed, meth, sex, etc. It amazes me that you can't see the difference.
A 22 year old went out on his bye week? Oh the horror Hell he probably went to rehab for appearances sake or the Browns made him.
Browns Twitter/Facebook is seriously all like "Gronk goes out and parties, nothing happens... Johnny Football goes out on his bye week, benched" Seriously
The difference is that Manziel is an acknowledged alcoholic and Kronk is not. Trouble tends to follow alcoholics wherever they go and it is obviously the case with Manziel. The Browns fans who are making that comparison are fucking morons.
I think the team has concerns beyond any substance abuse issues he may or may not have (we can all go back and forth all day about whether he went to rehab as PR move or for drugs or for alcohol or whatever). The fact is that made a promise to exercise better judgement and JUST had the incident this thread was started about happen which, again, linked Johnny to drinking and making poor decisions. So, after swearing up and down that he was going to stay away from drinking and subsequently being named the starter, for him to put on a drunken show for people with cell phone cameras pointed at him in a public place is just an astonishing lack of self-awareness. It has less to do, at this point, with him having a drink and more to do with him explicitly stating he is going to stay out of the spotlight for the wrong reasons and then, when the stakes get EVEN HIGHER with his being named the starter, he appears in these new videos. If you are the people who he made those promises to, you have to think 1) he just doesn't get it and 2) you can't really trust his word. If you play the position that values decision making ability maybe more than any other position in any other sport known to man and that's how you conduct yourself, its going to hurt your credibility.
