i've liked a few different win conditions over the years but most of them have been pretty stupid. space race? what? idc.
is anyone still playing GTA5 Online? I checked it out recently and it includes motorcycle gangs, corporations, and a lot of stunt races. they keep adding shit. i was just fucking around and some modder gifted me like $25 million, so i went out and bought like $20 million worth of office space, warehouses, car garages, a meth lab, coke production, weed farm, counterfeit cash, etc. so I have a need for some ppl to help run missions if anyone still has GTA5 for pc
Finally pulled the trigger on a new PC build earlier today. Been sitting on a 2nd gen i7 and GTX 570 for about 5 years. Have been playing more PC stuff lately so figured it was time to upgrade. CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus - STRIX Z270F ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Corsair - Vengeance RGB 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory Storage: Samsung - 960 PRO 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Black 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card Case: Corsair - Crystal 570X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: Dell - S2716DG 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor Yeah, I got some RGB stuff and a fucking tempered glass case. I thought I was well over that kind of stuff but I've been on a retro synthwave kick lately and everything in my mind is neon. Probably end up disabling a lot of the RGB stuff or making it the least obnoxious, static color within a month or two. SSD won't get here until Monday unfortunately so can't complete the build this weekend.
Nice. I have the same monitor and love the shit out of it. If you're looking for more ways to blow money, this monitor makes for perfect side panels: U2415 (less wide aspect ratio to let a 24" match up pretty well) Does this thread double as the mechanical keyboard thread too? A quick search only shows @jplaYa and @Taques ever talking about it. Just got new flat "gaming" keys.
I got a mechanical keyboard. It's a Corsair and loud as shit. Just took all my keys off and cleaned it the other day.
That's a beautiful keyboard. I have one and love it. I know people who collect them but doing that isn't my thing. I have a MaxKeyboard with MX Cherry Browns. I would like to grab a ducky shine or an RGB K70 Corsair with cherry reds. How do you like tenkeyless? Your monitor setup is amazing.
I'm hoping to cut it off before I spend too much money. I don't plan on buy more keyboards, but I do want to try both GMK and DSA keys to find what I like best, I really dislike OEM/sculpted keys. Grabbing this GMK set right now: https://www.keyclack.com/groupbuy/gmkOblivionR1 And tenkeyless is the shit, I can't believe I wasted so much desk room for so long on a handful of mostly useless keys.
Haha yeah. Saw that on Reddit this morning. The value of those is pretty dang shocking. There's well into 4 figures of value there. That market is really fickle and fun.
DL'd Civ, going to give it a try today. Almost went ahead and DL'd the Dictator simulator though, seems simpler. Edit: Trop 5 is what I was talking about. Also, how do I share on Steam and shit? I still don't fully understand it from that perspective. I'll gladly share Civ 6 with anyone who doesn't have or hasn't played it.
Now I remember the only bad part about ordering from Newegg - Fedex shipping. The SSD and a new modem I ordered with all of this stuff have been in Columbus since Saturday. I swear the estimated delivery date on the SSD was Monday at one point but it's now been pushed to tomorrow. The modem has an estimated delivery date of Wednesday. Both will end up sitting about 15 minutes from me for 2-3 days before finally being delivered.
Possibly but this is something I remember happening pretty much every time I've done a larger order of parts. I remember calling FedEx a couple times on a Friday when my stuff would have arrived and asking if I could just come by and pick it up but they had a rule where one delivery had to be attempted before a customer could just come and pick their stuff up.
I'm a PC Master Race noob, so forgive me, but I don't think you can share games on Steam. I know you can purchase a game and gift it to a friend, but like I said, dunno about straight up sharing.
You can share. Just can't play a shared game at the same time. http://store.steampowered.com/promotion/familysharing
team i don't like mechanical keyboards at all pc guys invest all kinds of money into cutting down on lag yet everyone keeps using mechanical keyboards because they feel better. it's illogical.
Or we enjoy mechanical keyboards because it's a great typing experience. Cherry blues at work, browns at home.
I'm missing the point here, wouldn't the fact that people spend all kind of money to cut down lag point towards them also buying better keyboards? It's all about preference to make yourself comfortable, but mechanical keyboards have a ton of options (actuating or not being the biggest), often have the lowest travel distance, come with the best hardware (low latency, anti-ghosting, high hz polling). If you wouldn't judge a keyboard by feel, what would you judge it on? Also I'm fully on browns + o-rings for gaming now. The o-ring makes them bottom out shortly after actuating and it just feels much nicer to me for gaming. And I think my finger joints are a lot less stressed since I don't end up pushing as hard.
After watching what seems like 30 plus hours of Battlegrounds on YouTube I'm definitely buying a PC ASAP. Any reccomendations? Looking to spend about 2k. Also don't want to clog up this thread or if I should be asking someplace else please let me know.
I've given up all mobas. The kids make it tough to sit down for 20-40 minutes without the ability to pause.
I'm about to buy Tropico 5, and I am fucking torn between getting the complete Tropico 5 bundle with all of the DLC's included for $50 or just the game. The bundle includes like 10 $5-$10 expansions, but I have no idea what any of the expansions do, and have no clue if I have to activate them or would they just be included making the game more complete from the get go? The last time I bought an expansion pack was for WoW and it allowed me to get my guy from level 60 to level 70, so yeah, it's been quite a while. Any recommendations?
My friend just bought parts to build his PC and it was insane to see that basically every video card under a 1080 is sold out everywhere. It's due to ethereum and other alt-currencies blowing up the past few months. No cards left for consumers.
Summer Sale purchases so far - Half Life 2, DEFCON, Wargame: Air Land Battle, Men of War (yes on an old school RTS kick), Headlander and XCom 2. Considering Panzer Corps 1, Ultimate General Civil War, The Witness and Dying Light
Wargame: Air Land Battle is really fun and really difficult.; the A.I always seems to be one step ahead.
Little late but the expansions make for a more complete game from the get go. Plus if you like having a defined objective instead of just playing sandbox, it includes I think two more campaigns and several stand alone missions.
had my eye on this one, so much other stuff to play i figured i would let it get through Early Access and catch a bigger sale later. Glad to hear its great.
faster than light hotline miami life is strange slime rancher hitman blood money stardew valley hollow knight rogue legacy if you have autism: crusader kings 2 Hearts of Iron IV stellaris worth $1.25 call of cthulu dark corners of the earth. It's really atmospheric and scary, though the graphics have aged badly and the game is buggy and broken half the time.
Hidden Folks is kinda fun if you like Where's Waldo type puzzles. Headlander is supposed to be good, only $3.99. Bastion is excellent, unique style, kinda like an action RPG-lite thing.
