It’s like our field players and pitching staff take turns partying so one of the groups is hungover for each game.
One bright side to the loss is we have the potential to break our streak of losing 33 straight series when we lose the first game.
I got an email back in November about a promotion for buying tickets with no fees for any game. Same email advertised Pete Rose night so I scooped up 4 tickets in section 120 for a total of $280. Ended up selling them for a total of $700 after fees last week. The prices are significantly less today. #DayTrader
This surely will jinx this streak, but the Pirates have not score more than 4 runs in 24 straight games.
Abbott got rocked in his last start before this one, 5 runs in 6 innings. Otherwise, since May, difficult to find anyone in the majors pitching better. In his other 7 starts since 5/1, he has given up only 3 earned runs in 41 innings.
1.87 ERA. Chase Burns also got promoted to AAA. Hasn’t pitched a ton but this seems very good IMO IYAM FWIW https://www.milb.com/player/chase-burns-695505
When I go to Guardians games I always try to be muted in my reactions as a visiting fan. When Fraley made that me and my son stood up and started giving high fives and yelling it. It was awesome
I grew up a Pirates fan 35 miles west of Pittsburgh, but I haven’t rooted for them in 15 years or so. When Jacobs Field first opened in the 90’s, I took a road trip from Columbus with friends to watch the Indians-Orioles. I wore a Pirates hat because it was the only baseball hat I owned. There wasn’t even inter league play at the time, and I’m not sure Cleveland and Pittsburgh had ever played each other. A drunk Cleveland fan still wanted to fight me for wearing the hat.
I’ve still never been to Cleveland in my entire life (not counting a layover at the airport which was bizarre) and I’d like to attend a game there.
It’s a fun stadium. Really like the corner bar if going with buddies. I am going again to day with a work vendor and taking my daughter.
Had this discussion with a Guardians fan. Keeping me engaged over the summer is all I really ask for. My buddy was complaining about them and I said I would love to have a constant winner that made my free nights enjoyable with a win.
I turned it on at the beginning of the inning and immediately turned it off. Why the hell is he even playing 3rd base?
Doesn’t make a lot of sense but with out a true reliable 3rd base bat I guess try anything Elly up with two on…
