'The Outsider' (2020) HBO Miniseries

Good episode tonight. The last 2 should be intense.

 

Those sounds while the outsider was feeding were grotesque. And it chucking a piece of meat at dude’s head....

The cinematic depiction of the outsider and the true knot in Dr. Sleep makes me want more of these things in the King universe.

I just started watching and it is fascinating

 

So the other kid getting killed means there’s definitely more than one of these things right?

 

Because this thing is in on a cycle it would seem. I don't believe they've shown it kill another kid on the show unless I'm forgetting something.

 

If they’ve got the one wrapped up but some other kid gets killed then there’s probably another one of these pulling the strings to kill that kid?

 

You may be right. I'm not sure this necassarily means there is another "boogie man". I think it was more of a way of proving that Terry Maitland was innocent.

I thought for sure either the kids or the rescue groups were going to encounter that thing in the caves as a mechanism to give it some sort of origin

 

I did too.

 

It goes to where the person it’s becoming has dead relatives, like the cemetery. The cave is where his family is buried since the others got washed out in the flood

 

Is this lining up with the conclusion of the book or could they be doing another season?

Seems like unless you are mentally weak like the redneck cop he’s not that threatening physically especially in this weakened state. So maybe they fuck him up but he mind fucks someone else into helping him escape

 

Yeah I'm still confused about the other dead kid since it seems apparent el cuco only kills one kid at a time before transforming into someone else. Especially since we know it was planning on snatching one at the cave festival and failed during the time the body was found.

 

Also I maybe the only one but I'd really love the chance to smash Holly

not sure about sex but she is the star of this show now

 

Yeah something about her character makes me feel some kinda way...it's her quirkiness I guess.

but what a great character and solid acting, she is the show now.

 

If they do a season 2 I imagine it involves her and another mystery of some kind.

 

The book character appears across multiple novels. Could easily do another series with the character
