Cuco wasn’t ever portrayed as a fighter. Once Jack tried to get the high score on snake I wasn’t expecting a lot of action. Wish Ralph would have allowed a little more open Q&A before Claude 1.0 showed up though.
Hey, there’s this interdimensional being who would be the most significant discovery in the history of mankind... “STOP ASKING THE INTERDIMENSIONAL BEING HOW THE UNIVERSE REALLY WORKS!!1!”
One thing I don't understand. When she's standing over him in the cave and Ralph says something about Terry Maitland. She says "who's Terry?" What's that about?
if he only kills every 27 days, and he was in Tennessee to abduct that kid from the cave festival, who killed the other kid the DA mentioned in the finale back in Georgia?
I think that was just another justification for the state attorney to reopen the case. Or....there’s more supernatural entities out there. Alluding to the final question Anderson asked Holly. I originally thought it was just commentary that evil exist, whether human or other.
This ending reminded me a lot of season 1 finale of True Detectives (not saying it can touch True Detectives). The climax was finished about halfway through the episode and everything else was tying up lose ends. I remember the same commentary....that was so underwhelming and that was such a let down. I think this is the nature of these thriller/mysteries, you live with all these characters for 8-10 episodes and you just can’t dump them to the side after the climactic conclusion. There needs to be closure which can be boring and have odd pacing.
Honestly think that was one of the most underwhelming shows I've ever watched. Was hooked first couple of episodes and by episode 5 didn't give a shit. Show dragged and I only cared about 2 or 3 characters for a show that seemed to want to lean on those characters during large portions of the show.
it could have been a sign that she was possessed by El Coco and/or symptomatic of the way her brain can see some details and overlook others. It could just be she’s been so wrapped up in El Coco that she forgot all about Terry Maitland. Or, you know, they are setting up The Outsider Season 2.
that is so disappointing. The show was ok, I was entertained. I saw the flaws and I won’t complain too much since it was fun. But how can this show get more views than watchmen? It makes no sense.
I marveled at the exquisite craftsmanship of Watchmen, but I think Outsider was more accessible to the casual viewer
I think this is the correct answer. Stephen King is a name pretty much everyone knows, and a show attached to it is going to draw casual viewers. Unless you’re a bit of a nerd (like me), Watchmen can be a bit obscure. It shouldn’t be, but it is. I was raving about the show to my cousins, and they read the graphic novel to watch the show. They didn’t think the show was nearly as good as I did.
Just binged it. Started out great, kinda dragged in the middle. Wished they would've explained more about the creature at the end . Guess I'll have to read the book. I could see the frustration of waiting week to week and have the tension kinda wane. Overall pretty good. TD season 1 was better tho.
