Refreshing to see Oz lose here and there too. Pulled one over and got really lucky to beat Sal. Gets cocky and immediately proceeds to get rocked by Sofia
Don’t know how I missed this deleted scene but wow it would have worked perfectly for the setup for the show.
Saw there The Joker may be getting his own spinoff series that takes place between Batman 2 and him being main villain in Batman 3. Would be amazing for them to do like this series and elaborate on the character and then place them in the movie
Could also lead to it being him that breaks all the villains out of Arkham to destroy Batman which we all know the Joker has done multiple times
He’s there in Arkham with Riddler. If Batman gets Penguin and the new villain in 2 then the 3rd would be amazing with them all getting out and working together against him
Oh I’d love that. I think they laid the groundwork with Riddler and Joker becoming “friends” at the end of the movie. The whole people love a comeback story and then the Riddlers website made it seem they were communicating together and with other people.
Every world he helps create within the comic world has been amazing. He’s done a great job with Riddler and Penguin. Fully on board with whatever direction he takes the universe. Glad Gunn said it was all his
Or at least neutral, RIP Vic had a rough day of going ahead then comebacks, Arsenal/Commanders/Penguin
Loved that show. Such an empty feeling because I thought Vic was going to die every episode and then made it to the end and Oz couldn’t let him live. Enjoyed the small cameos. Mayor-elect had her arm in a sling was a nice detail. Wonder if Selina and Sophia have interactions later on. Had to have the bat signal.
With that finale, I think they ran the risk of making him so bad that it’s kind of tough to watch. An anti-hero is fine bc there’s some part of you that roots for them based off of empathy, but when you go that far it makes it a bit hard and is just pure darkness as opposed to having anything to empathize with.
Well I think he will not be an antihero going forward with the movies is kind of the point. There isn’t another season.
I rooted for Sophia more than Oz out of empathy. Once they showed how his brothers died and his happiness because of it, you should have run out of empathy in episode 7. The choke scene just put an exclamation point on that.
I’m glad they went full evil Oz. Not every villain show or movie needs a feel good moment where we sympathize with the bad guy.
I think that’s fine if they’re not doing any more show. Don’t need him to be an antihero now. EDIT: missed that season 2 thing above
Saw in a Reddit thread someone stating it better than I knew how: Characters constantly underestimate how much of a POS he is and give him chances to prove loyalty / don’t see him coming. Sofia did it after she’d already been fucked once. Victor was the audiences experience with that. Vic/We see sides of him nobody else does and gave him a chance to prove he’s better than a POS. When he kills Vic you feel betrayed but it’s your own fault for not accepting the obvious.
