Weird to say, but I loved the show Last of Us and do you think playing it would ruin that before the part 2 comes out on Max?
It’s not a Sony exclusive but if you’ve been away from gaming in general for a while, The Witcher 3 is a must
I’ve been playing Shadow of Mordor and saw that Shadow of War the definitive version with all the DLC is on sale for $8.99 so I got it. Neat.
My must plays are mass effect 1-3 remastered - sci-fi third person shooter rpg (greatest trilogy of all time) Witcher 3 (+dlc) - open world fantasy hack and slasher rpg (best game of all time) Ghost of Tsushima - open world Samurai epic Horizon Zero Dawn (+dlc) futuristic post apocalyptic open world Last of us 1 and 2 - post apocalyptic zombie horror games Red dead redemption 2 - open world Wild West game last of us games and mass effect games are probably the shortest games on the list if you don’t want to put 50-100 hours into a game right away
Non exclusive BG3 is the best game ever made imo The Witcher 3 Cyberpunk with Phantom Liberty Elden Ring Red Dead 2 Both “A Plague Tale” games Exclusive Last of us 1 and 2 Ghost of Tsushima God of War and God of War Ragnarok Bloodborne Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West
Maybe he will enjoy it because he hasn’t had rogue and soulsborne games shoved down his throat as being the goat gaming experiences
Just finished Tsushima last night. Really great but couldn’t bring myself to stick around for all the collectibles and platinum. I was thinking I was waiting for the new AC but it looks like a pretty blatant ripoff of Tsushima so I’m looking for a new game. TLOU might be the pick but I’ve also never played any of the mass effects.
For someone just getting back into gaming, Astro Bot is probably the best jumping off point. Best game not mentioned so far (and another great game for casuals) is Bioshock.
getting to play TLOU 1-2, God of War, The Spider-Man games , the ghost of Tsushima for the first time on a PS5 is making my nether regions tingle
Honest answer? Monster Hunter World and Baldur’s Gate III are probably my 1a and 1b games of all time.
If you want a really good RPG, Divinity 2 was much easier to get into than BG3 was for me. Didn’t miss a keyboard at all with it.
I cannot stand BG3 with a controller. I’m sure I could get used to it, but couldn’t stand it when I played on steamdeck.
If you're a Harry Potter fan, Hogwarts Legacy is amazing, even if you're not all that into it, the game is a legit good open-world RPG experience
I recently finished a playthrough as a Slytherin. I saw someone posted that if you play as a Hufflepuff you get to go to Azkaban and now I want to do another playthrough.
Odin you and I have talked a lot about microtransactions. I honestly didn't know this was a thing. I thought it was just gambling to get a skin or a player, didn't realize people were converting it to real money.
I didn’t watch the videos, but was always amazed, and wondered how valid, at Counter Strike skins being worth thousands. Did people really buy skins off a marketplace worth that??
I heard that too and I tried to do it, started as Hufflepuff, did everything with a walkthrough and i couldn't get the Azkaban mission to pop up. I gave up but I'll likely try again. Did you do the Haunted Hogsmeade sidequest?
yeah, after you complete Professor Weasley's questline, you go to an abandoned shop in Hogsmeade and talk to an elf outside the shop, she asks if you want to buy it, and you go from there. I don't believe it is tied to a specific house. Definitely worth searching out, one of my favorite things in the whole game.
