Rift Apart looks so good I almost can't believe my eyes most of the time. It's like playing a Pixar movie.
Same. I don't notice much image degradation from regular performance mode. Fidelity looks great when standing still. As soon as you move the 30fps kills it.
Ratchet and Clank is my favorite series of all time. About to break down and pay a scalper for a PS5.
yep, you can. I wrote an article on the story if you want to catch up, but yeah its no problem to go in blind https://superjumpmagazine.com/setti...ends_link&sk=6fde1858de8fb72bed10b5e6813c33e0
I'm playing on Performance RT too, I may have to break down and buy a 4K TV even before I build my new PC. PS5 is going to make this TV look oooooold in a hurry.
I know I didn't expect the big leap in generational gaming to come from faster read times of storage, but damn these true PS5 games like Returnal and Rift Apart are showing just how important of a factor it is for games. It's incredible to think about what you can do with minimal storage limitations for future games. Also makes me sad, even though I understand the reason, that GoW/Horizon/Elden Ring will be limited by previous generation storage. Still going to be great, but I'm so excited for the type of current gen content that people can make now.
There's no way those games won't be held back in one way or another by nearly decade old hardware. It's a shame.
I can’t get over Rift Apart. The transitions between cinematic and you being in control are still so startling. I’ve been trading off with my wife so we both have a chance to admire the surroundings while the other takes in the gameplay. The entire intro was eye-candy. Insomniac is so incredibly detailed with their worlds.
Sometimes I wonder whether the folks working on those types of games realize how bad the games are while in production and they just grind their way through it. Or if they actually think that they are making something awesome.
I'll bet they probably have a feeling it's not shaping up well. But I've also read things where people working on games that end up phenomenal feel like the game isn't going to turn out well either.
I’m buying my 4K TV for the PS5 corner in my house on prime day. It legit will never see use till a PS5 is attached to it like a knotted dog
Platinumed Rift Apart yesterday and still kept playing after. New game+ unlocks omega versions of your weapons and doubles the weapon lvl cap so still a lot of fun on the second playthrough. Still amazed at how great the gameplay looks and feels. My only complaint is that even the hardest difficulty feels really easy as long as you use all your weapons.
I bought Chivalry 2 because I had a $50 PSN card laying around that I forgot about. It has basically consisted of me getting ganged up on every time I run into battle. I've resorted to just doing random shit like throwing bread at people and trying to spartan kick people off of cliffs. Fun times
Lol never. There is no way PS5’s will ever be made readily available. You will never be able to walk into a store or go online and buy one.
Hey guys if you guys tag me in one of these drops and I manage to get a PS5 out of it I’ll PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or donate $50 to the board or your charity of choice
