favorite game of all time
If that’s true it wouldn’t surprise me if Konami somehow found a way to fuck it up
I'd heard this, but also me and MMO's just don't mix anymore. I get invested and a month goes by - all of the sudden and everybody I know thinks I died and I don't even realize that I haven't been in touch with them. It's a scary genre.
the way those nerds get emotionally invested in literally everything is frightening
I have a question about bots and pre-orders. Why isn’t there a security feature in place for things like that? Like the “click the images” or the “Are you human?” features you see on some sites? Or are these bots more sophisticated than that?
I tried the Elder Scrolls Online a long time ago. It's okay if you like doing a lot of running to this place and that. I got bored very quickly.
If Konami can do for MGS what SE did for FFVII then will be a must buy
I know a guy who worked customer support for blizzard and he said he’d get at least 2 calls per day of grown men openly sobbing over WoW issues
kinda like you with From games
I spent a year playing ff14 pretty heavy and it was the most drama riddled cry baby y’all ain’t got no real problems bullshit I’ve ever experienced. Never again, mane.
I only cry when there isn’t any news on Elden Ring and I sobbb
oh you sweet summer child, you should know better
ff14 is fantastic and i love revisiting it a couple of times per year
Elden Ring gonna be a PS6 launch title once GRRM finishes the plot
It’s amazing fun and if i could play it by myself I would.
I have very little faith in RL going F2P with Epic behind the wheel already with the hit boxes everything just feels off.
We'll probably get PS6 in 2027. Seems pretty ambitious. I doubt he'll have finished the outline by then.
For those getting PS5 or XSX; are you getting Cyberpunk ASAP, or waiting for a proper next gen release?
I feel like I’ll get Assassins Creed for PS5 at launch, and then use GamePass on the X for a change of pace. I’ll see if I can wait out Cyberpunk.
When is that not gen release due? I'm not waiting a 6 months to play one of the most anticipated games of the last 5 years.
Getting it immediately. Then I'll play it again when they do the proper update.
Also snagging Mile Morales and will be playing Destiny Beyond Light. So I'll have more than I can play for a while.
sometime next year
I been hyped in Cyberpunk since they announced it right when Wild Hunt came out. I’m not waiting any longer
They said '21. Good chance it will be 6 months. I'm the same as you. Been waiting on this game since I finished Witcher 3 essentially.
Cyberpunk - will play day 1. They designed it to have 3 real paths depending on how you start and wanted it shorter than TW3. Apparently it was a low percentage of people who actually finished TW3. I’ll do a 2nd play through once I have my XSX.
how tf was TW3 too long
What kind of shitty person didn’t finish the Witcher 3?
they added about 60 hours of DLC and I still wanted more
i'll give you one guess
Tbh the only enjoyable experiences I’ve had in 2020 were getting back into shape and replaying everything in Witcher 3 down to every unmarked location
As much as I’d like to have another 120+ campaign or whatever it was, if CP ends up being 3 40+ hours games in one package I’d be astonished because that seems crazy complex. It fits me personally better with where my life is right now though.
Gonna cancel my PHYSICAL CP xbone preorder and get it DIGITALLY for PS5
Even I finished TW3 while Ghosts of Tsushima has been deleted unfinished
update: considering the next gen upgrade won’t be coming until 2021, I will be keeping my xbone x preorder
no further comment
I saw Valhalla may be day 1 Game Pass so pump the brakes on having to buy that on PS5 if you’re already on Xbox.
They aren’t Japanese enough for me
Not enough tentacles
always knew I was right
Being weeb needs to be a felony offense in this country
I even played GOS with subtitles.
I’m a monster
I haven’t finished GoT either. For whatever reason it hasn’t grabbed me like I thought it would. I’ll get back to it eventually though.
Honest question: did it feel a little too formulaic for anyone else? I felt like I was playing HZD but in Japan (obv no giant robots though). It’s a similar feeling to what I had with TLOU2 - more violent Uncharted. Normally I like open world games but they are starting to run together a bit.
You disgust me.
I’m sorry guys I just hate video games
There was a rumor from a while ago that Sony was trying to buy the rights of Metal Gear from Konami to hand it to Kojima.
they would be smart to try to do so, along with some other IPs (castlevania, silent hill, etc.)

PlayStation is reportedly looking to buy the Metal Gear and Silent Hill licenses from Konami

New rumours suggest Sony wants Kojima to develop new Metal Gear and Silent Hill games for PlayStation

Sony has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring the creative rights to the Metal Gear, Silent Hills, and Castlevania licenses from Konami, with plans for Kojima Productions to make new games in the former two franchises, according to a newly surfaced rumour.
The news follows previous reports that two new Silent Hills projets are in the works for PS5, and that Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is involved in helping revive the dormant survival horror franchise, years after his original reboot at Konami - Silent Hills - was cancelled.

If Silent Hill ever comes back it has to leave the nurses and ditch its history for an all-new start
JackofallControllers, drawing from both their own sources and online murmurs to suggest that Sony is looking to develop PlayStation games based on the Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and Silent Hill IP.
The info states that, should Konami be interested making in the sale, Kojima's independent studio could then be brought aboard to help PlayStation revive the Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill series, presumably for its upcoming next-gen console.
Castlevania would also reportedly be rebooted for the platform, though - as always - it's best to take all of this information with a healthy dose of scepticism. That said, Konami has already confirmed it's looking at avenues to revitalise the Silent Hill franchise, while a number of cryptic teases from Kojima Productions' team and former Silent Hill devs do suggest that something is going on behind the scenes.
Hopefully, we'll have something more official to share soon, if and when Konami has more to announce.
Open world action adventure games are definitely running together like FPS titles. You have to do something truly special to set your title apart at this point.
I do think it comes together for GoT and it’s set apart when you can turn off the checklist that many of us approach these games as and can enjoy the ambiance of the color palette, soundtrack, cinematography, and voice acting. It doesn’t have the character development of Naughty Dog but they absolutely found ways to crush the feels at a few parts in the story.
Could it be more focused? Absolutely. But for a sandbox, I appreciated the visual concept of progressing north, which mirrors the overall narrative. There’s a small hand full of places the map didn’t take me organically throughout the story and it didn’t really require much backtracking.
I thought GoT was awesome. Main character was great, you're invested in the side characters, you feel more powerful as the story goes on, incredible voice acting, cool character customization, amazing graphics and music, the only thing that kept it from being a top, top tier game was the side quests sometimes were kinda meh.
1. Buy From
2. Let them go ham with a proper 3D Castlevania
Imagine Konami being reasonable about that sale
Better Sony have them than Konami waste them on fucking Pachinko machines.
and love hotels*
Sony has the studios that fit in their lane imo. I think From is a studio that fits that mold. I think BioWare and BGS fit into Microsoft’s mold.
I think both need to seriously consider funding Ghost Story.
