Will give my thoughts later, but the two I trust the most (ACG and Skillup) both said they had very minimal bugs and only one had something game breaking (crashed once). They were on PC, so still TBD on console.
Holding out on getting excited for any future Bethesda or R* games until I see they are actually advancing controls and combat to join modern era video games. RDR2 and GTA V both went the way of sports games that refuse to innovate because they didn't have any legit competition. The masses still eat this shit up the same way they do CoD and Madden so I'm not really too optimistic. Edit: Should probably specify that I'm talking about their big games (Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, GTA) since they have other games that definitely feel better and more modern.
RDR2 innovated in terms of making it’s world feel alive and detail there isn’t an inch of room to debate on that systems got repetitive however I don’t expect much from Starfield, Todd as already come out and said it’s going to be a newer version of the creation engine. They need a new engine for ES6 imo
No doubt on the alive part, but that did not equal out to a more fun or meaningful experience. If anything it led to being dull and boring, in my opinion. Completely agree about the engine. I think that's the biggest issue with Bethesda, honestly. Maybe a little better writing and more meaningful story paths for them, but that's a super minor complaint.
Has anyone played It Takes Two? Looking for another game to play with my son, and have heard good things.
100% on combat, but I genuinely hope they make zero changes to driving mechanics. Absolutely absurd and unrivaled arcade style fun
I like the story of a way out better. Instead of marital issues you’re breaking out of prison. Both are fun and should be played though
It Takes Two is much better in terms of gameplay, much more refined and the different styles of play they've managed to emulate is staggering, it was the best game I played last year
My entire family has become obsessed with Hollow Knight. Wife and both kids will sit and watch me play. “Dad! Can you play Hollow Knight today??” Beat the game and they insisted I try for the platinum trophy. The struggle is real.
Was the Uncharted series fun? I’ve never played but I see you can get the first 3 games for $20 right now. I need new games. Just went through the Arkham series.
yes really fun games but I would buy the new remasters especially if they fixed that jet ski part from the first game that was game design hell
https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP9000-CUSA02320_00-UNCHARTEDTRILOGY This is the first three remastered for PS4. UC4 and Lost Legacy were made for PS4, they just got a Remastered version on PS5
Couldn’t find a specific subbautica thread…just finished below 0. Was a little underwhelmed, thought the first one was vastly superior
Yes, first was better to me by far. This felt like an expansion rather than sequel imo. Dying light 2 is very fun, some glitches but very fun.
Believe that's what it started out as. I loved the first one, or at least the first two-thirds of it. Once you had to go into the lava section at the bottom and it wasn't just exploring/survival/building, I wasn't that into it. Which is extremely odd for me, because I'm usually much more into story-focused games, so losing interest when the majority of the "story" kicks in is weird, but the environment and horror-aspects and constantly new stuff to see and find just did it for me in this one.
I hated the lava lake section of game 1 because I was always lost. Ironically it’s a reason I hated below 0. Just me lost in caves trying to find my way out. So frustrating
Pretty interesting stuff that they're claiming their AI will be able to do. I've never been huge into racing sims, and bad racing AI usually plays a part in not loving every single one I've played. Kind of interested in testing this out at some point. Hopefully this leads to major breakthroughs in other genres soon. https://ai.sony/blog/blog-016/
I read that Best Buy and Target might be restocking tomorrow so I’m gonna check that too. I’ll strike out and forget about video games for another 10 years.
I got mine pretty easily when I bought a Walmart + subscription. Just have to be available when the actual drop happens
Got covid last week so downloaded days gone from ps network. Man what a fantastic game, I can’t believe I waited this long to play it
It really was surprisingly enjoyable, considering all the negative stuff I heard about it before playing
Amazon dropped ps5s today and it let me add 10 to a cart and go all the way to placing my order without glitching. I didn’t buy them fwiw. Was just seeing. No wonder people scalp so easily
