It's pretty janky. Frame rate dips, sub par visuals, etc. I definitely wouldn't call it polished. But still a good game. Just could have been more.
Just finished. Game is pretty damn good. Could be great if it performed as it should. Probably needed an extra 3-6 months to iron out optimization.

Sony has been pretty hands off with Naughty Dog so I'm guessing they would have had it at the showcase were it not for Bungie not being happy with it, was my point.
Maybe, honestly it’s a completely different type of game for Naughty Dog though, and I don’t see how TLOU translates as a game as a service. It just feels like based on the reporting it just wasn’t good…
that's... interesting. I actually love the idea... new setting, new ideas, different populations represented in a genre that isn't 4x strategy (nothing wrong with those), and it doesn't look like it will suck. but future me is already sick of the whining about it from both sides.

As much as anyone knows what Sony is doing or thinking these days, yes I think we will absolutely get a new Astro game, he's as close as they have to a mascot right now, the question for me is will it be VR only (like the first game, Astrobot Rescue Mission, was) or both PS5 and VR? As for Sackboy, it's hard to say. I don't think Sackboy's Big Adventure knocked anyone's socks off or sold huge numbers, so I'm not sure they will do another one like that. Having said that, Media Molecule is freed up again to do something different now that Dreams has been cancelled, so it is possible they go back to the well with a Little Big Planet game, but so much of the talent and creative DNA that made those games back in the day has left the studio that I'm not sure they could recreate the magic from those games anyway. And Sony doesn't seem interested in making first-party games that sell a million copies anymore, they want huge blockbusters and live service games. So if I had to bet money, I would say Sackboy doesn't come back in anything other than maybe a mobile game
The Tomb Raider game has been fun so far. All the different death scenes lol. I’m not good at hitting the button at the right time. I’ve enjoyed sneaking around headshotting the Russians with the bow.

The first one was pretty good. That's the one Cory Barlog made before going back to Sony Santa Monica.
I enjoyed the reboot trilogy as a whole but felt the 3rd game was the weakest. Not surprising since it was developed by a different team.
RDR2 and GTA V both had over 1000 people work on them compared to 300 for these two. So a lot I'm guessing.
Tough call. I enjoyed all the tombs figuring out the puzzles. I really liked the scenery. Caught myself just looking off into the distance a lot. It was an interesting story.

Bought some parts so I can try to resurrect one of my DualSense controllers from stick drift hell. Going to pull out the metal piece and replace the ones in the controller, which is widely pointed to as the culprit of stick drift. We'll see how it goes
i know, its awful.. i have one that is completely unusable from it, another one that is usable in spurts if I constantly manhandle the stick, and the only one that doesn't have drift won't hold a charge so we have to play with it plugged in. Fucking ridiculous how bad they are, no excuse and I don't understand how they are like this and how it is seemingly random. My son plays a lot, but he's only here every other week so I would say the controllers get average usage, its crazy to me how poorly they perform for such great tech that the PS5 is.
After doing some research I have some BW-100 cleaner on hand that helps some but it's still ridiculous. I have 3 controllers and none work well now.
