Far Cry and Garden Warfare 2 are next month (same day). Of those two PVZGW2 will probably be the only day one purchase. Street Fighter is also Feb. Not much in march. Ratchet and Clank and Dark Souls 3 are set to release in April. Both will be day 1 purchases. There's not much I can think of besides those that are for sure coming out this year. No Man's Sky is but meh. The Division is lol. FF15 will probably be this year but not soon.
I've got the division on preorder. I may have to get no mans sky. Not sure of what other games are coming out this year that interest me.
So what's the deal with the FFVII remake? My wife wants to buy a PS4 specifically for this game. This may end up being material for the "Dumb Shit" thread. Last I've heard, the game won't be out until 2017. It's possibly going to be on 3-4 discs and it's going to reach about $180. All this for a game that everyone whos gonna play it knows the story/ending. . .
I doubt it will be 180. It might even not be on discs. I'd be utterly shocked if we have to pay more than 60. I believe the current plan is to have an episodic release which I assume is similar to the walking dead/tales of borderlands model but who really knows.
I told her, if she wants it, it's on her. Meanwhile I'll be building a PC and rubbing it in her face.
Yeah, I haven't played FF7 since I was 15 or so, so I would buy this version. I just don't want to dump 50/60 hours into it and then the remake releases. To the question that was presented about what people are buying in 2016 - the only new release that I'm guaranteed to get is No Man's Sky. And I'm anticipating being disappointed. I'm wait and see on The Division (unless I can get a beta code and love it immediately). Everything else is something I'll pick up after price drops / expect to have a big Black Friday.
Honestly this year could be incredible and I could be quite broke by the end of it. Hopefully I can have good luck with Gamefly.
Im just beyon pumped for Dark Souls 3. The Idea of adding a touch of the speed from Bloodbornes combat to the traditional DS formula gets me all wet
The Division has a set release date of 3/8 with the beta coming at the end of this month... What makes you think it won't get released?
I like minecraft so I think I can get into NMS. Plus its gonna have combat zones and I think people are unaware of that
Not a single mention of Rainbow Six Siege? Game is really, really fun. Best FPS I've played in a few years for sure. Since MW3, probably.
Games I have and my ratings for them: -Rainbow Six Siege 9.5/10 -Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain 9.5/10 -Madden 16 8/10
Beta was pretty fun. I just couldn't pick up the mechanics of the game. I might buy it when it goes on sale.
It takes a little getting used to but it's incredible. (Having success while) Playing online is pretty dependent on communication with your teammates though so using a mic is important. That said, a lot of people don't. Haven't talked to anyone that has bought it that is disappointed with their purchase. Pretty different format from all of the COD games or other FPS that I've played but it's just so damn much fun to play.
I'm finally back in the ps4 club Got the one that had blops3 in the box (only one in stock) Got rainbow six: siege as well Add me Username: ravis217 (real name shows up as Lebowski TMB)
I want No Man's Sky to be a great game so badly, but I highly, highly doubt it turns into a must own game. It looks like it's going to become insanely repetitive super quickly and fuck man, I want to conduct massive space wars and shit... and it's just not that game. I hope I'm wrong
Yea I was thinking the same thing when I saw the videos from E3, looks like it could be great and exploratory, but it looked like it could be also boring/repetitive, I won't buy it release day but I am hopeful.
Just a heads up if people don't already have them: Gamestop is showing Fallout 4 and Metal Gear:The Phantom Pain for $40 each in their current ad
Totally forgot about that game, such a shame, I remember all the hype and I never ended up playing it
I played the beta and decided I didn't want to pay $60 for a game that was only multiplayer. I'll probably pick it up when it gets cheaper.
I hear you on that one. It's $39.99 at amazon, that's why I jumped on it. http://www.amazon.com/Tom-Clancys-R...=1454081382&sr=1-1&keywords=rainbow+six+siege
Anyone doing the PlayStation access? I've been thinking about giving it a try. $20 a month to play a lot of games. Gives me more options than if I buy 3 games a year.
Had the name wrong. It's PlayStation now. Here's a link. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/e...s-pl-5-83521&gclid=CNzgjKm_28oCFYYjgQodfq8IHw
Big time sale on EA game through the weekend. Rory and Madden are both $20. Which one should I get? I haven't gotten a madden in years.
Madden 16 is legit good. Golf games - people are split on The Golf Club (downloadable game) vs. Rory so may worth looking into both of those.
