Maybe if it '22 was an anomaly but it's the norm for the game and EA. And it's every bit as bad as people say. Tons of horrible bugs and bad game design.
There basically hasn't been a single sports video game worth a shit since microtransactions became a thing.
Fair enough. I love that people have that system and it means so much to them, but even games I never wanted to stop playing at the time, like HZD and TLoU, I just couldn't force myself to keep going to get the trophy.
That's the general consensus. I'm thinking I'll get my football fix by dusting off the PS3 and playing the most recent copy of NCAA that I own (either '12 or '13 I think).
If you have '14 you can download the College Football Revamped. It's pretty amazing. Those guys have gone in and made all kinds of updates. There's a few hoops to get it going on PS3 but it's not difficult at all.
haven't tried, but for those interested https://github.com/cfbrevamped/CFBR-Easy-Installer/blob/master/README.md
Yeah I've heard about that project, really awesome stuff. I have '12 but if I get addicted again I may have to find a copy of '14 and take your suggestion
it's a mobile game but great fun. its a good 'reboot' of techmo bowl. uses NFL cities (not teams or players) but I like the format. it plays fun if just looking for a quick football experience. you only play offense though.
Cant believe we used to play 60-100 hour games and every time we turned the Nintendo off we didn't know whether or not the entire game had been erased.
Friends and I need a new 3-4 player co-op game we can play together on PS4. Currently rocking FIFA 21 but would love to find a shooter of some variety. Previously, we played Rainbow 6 Siege, Fortnite, and Warzone and I'd rank them in that order (from best to worst). Battlefield 2042 seems to be hot garbage and looks just like COD so I'm not interested in that. Anyone got any good recommendations or know of anything coming out soon that might fit?
If you are in a custom franchise that is full with long term members Madden can be fun. Doesn’t make that game good, but good leagues are fun to me. I don’t play any other game modes and don’t play computer games or on line randoms.
World series baseball rocked. Related I need to find a game gear. My old one died and tried to have it repaired but not successful. Still have a bunch of fun games my kid would love if I could pass them down. I put a new screen in a game boy color though
I read the whole book. It's a fun and amazing story. The way the guy wrote the story too (basically took all of the interviews and then replayed the era in real-time) is really well done and fun.
Played Riders Republic last night and this is one of the most needlessly disappointing games I've played in a while. I say that because the actual racing (what little I've done of it on a first play through) is actually really fun. Controls feel mostly good. Not as intuitive as past gold standards like SSX but overall it's pretty fun. But the whole game is designed like a freemium mobile game and it suuuuuucks. The currency, unlockables, overwhelming introductions....I played for maybe over an hour last night and still didn't get past the "introduction." There's a fun game under here somewhere but the design for everything outside the events is trash. It also requires you to be online and have an Ubisoft account just to play. It's a mobile game disguised as a console release.
I was having fun with it until it crashed my PS5 because my system does that if you play an online game for some reason. Just sent my PS5 in to be fixed or replaced (fingers crossed they just replace it)
Bought Little Nightmares 2, The Pathless and 13 Sentinels on the PS Store sale. Just tossing them on the pile of bodies that is my backlog.
I played the demo and then never got back to the full game, loved the original so I'm excited for that. Need to finish Kena first and then I'll jump in.
I've snagged GotG (finished yesterday and it's fantastic), Outer Wilds, and Doom Eternal. Been meaning to play Outer Wilds for a couple of years and finally bit the bullet.
The only time I ever see it talked about is with Skillup and he will not let you know anything about the game
Just finished Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Having to take our Phin and seeing what happens to her made me feel worse than when I took out Doc Ock. Damn you Insomniac
I know these have become tedious, but Best Buy deal of the day has Farcry 6 for $19.99 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/far-cry-6-standard-edition-playstation-5/6426006.p?skuId=6426006
13 Sentinels surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Really good game that I would have never thought about trying if it wasn't for a few reviewers I follow that gave it high praise.
Just voicing my displeasure with Death Loop. I'm having fun playing the game so far but I paused the game to refill my drink but I guess it was still live despite the pause menu showing and I quickly got killed 3 times and it reset my loop. WTF.
