The Playstation Thread: We’re Spider-Man

I'm wondering if you can switch between the two at any time (as in GTA5) or if it will only be at certain times.
My original thought was only at specific times but after yesterday's trailer, I'm not sure.

 

Unless it's in a mission I'm pretty sure it's anytime.

Just got a PS5 for my bday. Haven't been in the PS game in about 15 yrs. Any exclusives I should target first?

Honestly just look at the PlayStation Hits games and choose.

 

Spider-Man and God of War piqued my interest the most.

I also noticed a game where you're a stray cat? It would be more for my daughter unless it's not kid appropriate.

 

Stray is outstanding.
Ratchet and Clank is also outstanding.

 

Is anything beyond Playstation Plus Essential worth getting if I just casually play online?

I just pre-ordered Spider-Man 2. May give Ratchet & Clank a go. I imagine I'll get Hogwarts Legacy and God of War Ragnarok at some point. Looking forward to Red Dead Star Wars next year.

 

Ratchet & Clank is a good showcase and fun to play. I didn't see if anyone mentioned it yet, but Returnal is worth checking out. One of my favorite releases of the past few years

 

I really enjoyed Hogwarts, but I’m also a sucker for setting.

 

Hogwarts game is pretty mid if the Harry Potter universe doesn’t pull you in IMO

 

Even with it pulling me in I lost interest after a while.

 

Tokyo Game Show 2023 gets going full steam today. Capcom with a presentation here in just a little bit with Dragon’s Dogma 2 being featured. Although there is quite the speculation that the new Monster Hunter game for the current gen will be revealed as well

Having no Mario or Zelda games is egregious.

 

I wouldn’t have any in mine but if I’d played botw or Totk I might. Nintendo games aren’t for everyone. Zelda and Mario are platformers either in a way or outright and not everyone loves platform gaming

I thought that was a list made by some gaming publication when I first saw the post. Didn’t realize it was a “rank your own” type thing. There are myriad reasons why someone wouldn’t have those games listed on their personal list. So, I guess apologies to One Knight for being too high to understand what was posted last night.

 

Costco or Sams will have deals on bundles, but it's kinda pointless if the it's not a game you want or don't need a 2nd controller.

 

Has there been any motion on that supposed new model of PS5 with the modular disc drive?

I certainly could have put a Mario game on there but I was trying to go a little deeper with that, hence Dragon Warrior and Battleground: Gettysburg and Strike Commander selections.
But I see your point, no Mario 3 could be considered an oversight on my part.
