That game is harder than you think so i hope you like sim baseball games where you have to earn getting hits. I burnt out from The Show personally but it's in the top tier of sports titles.
I've honestly had a hard time getting into it, though that could be due to having two small children and trying to find time to play it since they don't need to watch/listen to all the "scary" stuff, brutal violence, and swearing. Or possibly I'm just a terrible person
then you'll love it. it's an incredible representation of the sport. It's just not as pick up and play as baseball video games have been (including MVP Baseball) if you aren't used to it. Also if youre in for the sports games then buy Rocket League. It's mandatory.
i cant remember....and the last time i played The Show it introduced a quick game feature. so i dont remember the last time i played the full 9. id imagine it being in the 45 minute range.
I'm honestly shocked more people didnt make the move after the 2k baseball series ended. Not that it was even comparable to the show.
MLB the show was the only reason I went PS3/4. I play that and 2k basketball with some fps mixed in there. So I don't play exclusives. I play full 9 inning games and I'd say it takes an hour to get it done. I thought my purchase was worth it.
About halfway through my first time with the Remastered TLoU, looks so incredible. Being able to play with headphones plugged into the controller makes everything so much creepier too. Love it
In that weird place where I have video games in my backlog that I need to finish but I don't want to play them because I'm waiting on new games to come out.
It's fun, but you definitely have to earn it. I take tons of pitches and work starting pitchers. It can be a bit tedious most of the time having to win on less than 4 runs. But that makes it more intense and fun imo.
Started a trial of PS Now. Seems cool but not worth the subscription unless you really wanna play a bunch of older games. Only ones I played were Red Dead Redemption and the demo for the new Parappa The Rappa they're remastering.
So what's coming out this year? I mostly just use my system for Vue and prime/Netflix these days. And I ocasionally dabble with pinball from time to time.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is probably the biggest shooter being released this year. I think Battlefront 2 is coming out, but unless they add some serious depth over 1, it doesn't have my interest.
Horizon Zero Dawn will be huge. Robot dinosaurs, enough said. If you like South Park, Fractured But Whole will be awesome. RE7 is going to be really good i think, if the demo is any indication. I'm really looking forward to Prey, has a Dishonored feel to it.
I really want to get back to this, let a friend borrow it when MGS5 came out, then i got pulled in many other gaming directions. So fucking creepy, amazing sound really enhances the game, great challenge, etc. My only issue is its so hard to find/follow some of the story points if you don't have a guide. I would have never known that the people in the houses did anything more than say snarky shit to you if I hadn't read about it. Having never played a Souls game before, maybe this is known to veterans, but i totally missed it.
Yeah the from games don't do any hand holding in regards to story. You will get your story experience through two sources and that's exploration and item descriptions. Some of the NPC story arcs in souls games are pretty important too as they yield cool new weapons or items or in the case of BB, different endings. I read an awesome article here recently on how the survival horror genre has been hiding in plain sight within the souls games and it made some seriously fantastic observations.
Cool, i will check that out. Speaking of survival horror, I finally played the RE7 demo the other day, i am seriously hopeful that it will represent the return of true/classic survival horror. I thought the demo was fantastic.
just saw a news report that was pretty great. some far too old to have children woman basically said this exactly: "you know when your kids on playing online on the playstation and they have their headphones on talking to people. you know who they're talking to? predators."
Beat Lady Maria last night from the Old Hunters Dlc after almost a week of trying. One of the best boss fights from any game ever and I was hype af afterwards. Idk if there are any games out that match the intensity and subsequent elation of defeating some of the more difficult bosses in souls games. I appreciate fromsoft and Miyazaki to no end
Anyone playing/played Dishonored 2? I'm on that now, continuing the formula from the first game, like that you can play as Emily. Big fan so far.
Will do, storyline and intro is good so I am encouraged. Game looks fucking gorgeous on PS4, as I was just coming off DH1 on PS3. If you get the limited edition it has the full version of the DH1 remaster, including all the DLC. I got it as a gift so i didn't realize that, was stoked to find out i didn't need to buy them, as I was about to do just that.
She was definitely a fun boss fight. When she does her 2nd transformation I was just like wtf. Then the flames fucking started with the long attacks and I was like fuck. Was even more hilarious considering I walked right into the damn room right after fighting those 4 assholes before it.
Yeah i was lulled to sleep by the prior boss givin the difficulty of the ones that lead up. Then I was promptly smacked in the mouth by Maria. When I finally beat her, I kicked her teeth in. Only used 3 vials
Yea i wasnt other than i saw someone stream some of it online. plays way better on the ps4 than i had hoped. and a great challenge.
Watch dogs 2 on sale (50% off) if you're into that kind of thing. Came out not to long ago so it's a good deal.
