Sony is FINALLY adding external drive support for the ps4 in the next firmware update. Beta starts today for those lucky enough to get into it.
i still play college hoops 2k7 (because i'm much further into a career mode on that than 2k8, but i do own both) and would love a new one just saying
No because the online services arent supported anymore. I think any that have been uploaded are still available for download. I did find some pretty recent ones online to download and magically move from a pc to the system (maybe only 360, not sure) but I didnt really look into it because i just stick to my career mode. Best part is the games play almost exactly like current 2k games. They really perfected basketball gameplay pretty early on.
I expected it, but I'm kinda disappointed it sounds like the gameplay loop is essentially Far Cry. I'm still looking forward to it/getting it, but was hoping for something a little different. Of course, the trailers haven't really hid that potential.
So true. Live used to be so amazing, pretty sad really. the 2K series does it better now anyway, but still. I would love to say "I hope EA learned a lesson from all this", but I know better
NBA LIVE 10 with Dwight on the cover was actually solid. Just went in a different direction after that with the disastrous ELITE title that never came out. Sucks...good people in Orlando worked hard to get that thing back up but such a big hill to climb against 2K. Just bring back NBA and NFL Street.
So I finally stepped into the new generation of systems. Got a PS4 Slim over the weekend and I'm wrapping my head around the load times.... Anyway, I'm not a big gamer when it comes to modern gaming. The system came w/ I guess the latest COD. I grabbed Star Wars Battlefield for myself and FF XIV: Realm Reborn for the wife. The only game I really wan to get right now is DOOM. Are there any tips or tricks I need to look into for the system? It all seems pretty self explanatory but any help would be appreesh. Thanks, and maybe I'll see ya's online someday.
Anyone that uses RedBox, how common are those scams where you end up getting an empty box? I see it posted a lot on Reddit and other places, but wasn't sure how common it was. Im interested in picking up RE7 and Doom and figured RedBox would be the way to go since both are pretty short games.
My advice would be to get Destiny and add me up. dabutracing007 is my psn All I do is sick Destiny shit and I'd love to power level you up so you can do nightfall with me and Boyd Crowder, I swear he won't dog cuss you if you're slow to catch on. Soon will be three manning vault of glass and giving Crota the business. Let's do this friendo
rented from them numerous times, never had an issue. also plan on renting RE7 from them and keeping it for a weekend. its like $3/day or something like that.
RedBox is well aware that people are assholes. Any time I've bought anything from there that ended up being less than advertised I was able to get my money back no problem. I assume renting would be the same.
I'm having an issue with my PS4 downloading patches. The past two (BLOPs 3, BF1) just fail to download. I had to reinstall BLOPS so it would DL the patch. This ever happen to anyone? I can see this becoming miserable
So what the problem is, as of last patch, playstation changed the algorithm on how they allow downloads to work. You cannot DL patches/dlc to a game currently on your HD unless you have double the file size in storage space. So Keef, no, i do not have enough storage space (even tho i do) to DL the updates. Fucking insane
I think I had the same problem. When I looked at my storage I had plenty of space, yet it would never download the update. Can't wait for the next dashboard that allows USB hard drives. I'm wondering if its possible to use my 4TB with both my Xbox and PS4.
Pretty stupid doesn't give it justice. What that essentially means is I have to have 120g free just to DL an update (regardless of size) to my PS4 for BF1. Being that we went three years without that being a thing, I wonder the motivation behind an algorithm that effects quality of life in such a way.
PS TV should be arriving today. Mixed reviews overall but they can be had for $50. I really want it strictly so I can bounce PS4 down to the basement. I will be setting it up for Ethernet. Anyone have one of these?
Looking forward to getting back to Dishonored 2. Half Knight has had monopoly on the PS4 with his birthday gifts all week, so I took the opportunity to almost finish Bulletstorm on PC. Also have Resistance 3 on PS3 that I need to get into.
after playing through it i agree wholeheartedly, it is fantastic. Some really cool mechanics, great core gameplay, not bad story. The similarities to Duke Nukem probably cost it more sales than it earned from nostalgia-loving gamers, but i think its great. I'm hoping the re-release on consoles will get a sequel in the works. Speaking of games that deserved a sequel, anyone ever play Black on PS2? It was by Criterion, the studio that made the Burnout games. Remains one of my favorite FPS games ever.
I had it on xbox and got pretty involved in it but then I never picked it back up. I have that problem with a lot of games in general. Probably gonna add it to my pick up list for OGXbox.
It was so good, really a pioneer in destructible environments, semi-scripted events that were well integrated in gameplay, cinematic feel, etc.
