yeah i've never been one to bitch about free stuff, and i've more than gotten my money's worth in the free games over the lifetime of my PS+ sub, but there has been a dry spell in the relative quality of those games lately.
I downloaded "This War of Ours" last month and it was decent for a couple of hours. It's not gonna stay on my HD long though. This month just seems like trash
I bought the original on PC and I really wanted to like it, but fuck was it depressing. Never come across a game i didn't want to play for that reason, but damn, i just didn't want to feel that way when trying to play games. Major kudos to the developers as they bring a feeling and experience to people who will never know those things, but damn.
I keep one of each sports game, 3-4 rpgs in rotation, 2-3 shooters in rotation, any other multiplayer or party games that may need to be played. There's simply not enough space for all of that.
It really was, and also why i wanted to play it. An incredible experience, affecting and depressing at the same time. I may go back to it at some point, but I'll need to take Zoloft before i do it though.
The Last of Us (naturally) Bloodborne (if youre a souls fan) Situationally depending on taste: Nioh Nier: Automata Until Dawn Ratchet and Clank MLB The Show
Ok, so just played a bit of nier. The opening 20-30 minutes is easily the best since TLoU, possibly better. The presentation is by far the best thing I've seen in gaming since Bioshock. The combat is hectic and exceptionally fun. The game switches between 4-5 different genres seemlessly. I honestly don't remember the last time a game has impressed me this much.
Pretty excited to play Nier, have it sitting by the PS4, but there's suddenly too many games to play. Elbow deep in Horizon and Zelda with Mass Effect and Destiny update coming. Loving this "fall game releases in the spring" end of fiscal year this year.
Watched a playthrough of the first 30 minutes or so, Nier is fucking crazy, so many different types of gaming and mechanics. Looks pretty awesome
itzSobuh I drink too much sometimes and rage at Overwatch like it's my muh fuckin job but also I send dick pics
i watched a bit of a playthrough, seemed like a decent to good actioner, story didn't do much for me though. I would say it is worth the $20 if you are a fan of 3rd person action games
I liked the first 2 on PS3. Had read he story in this one wasn't as good as 2 but as long as it was still fun to play then I'd probably download it.
It's fun to play and definitely worth $20. Story is very meh and the main character is a miserable twat... but super powers
Patches is right. Second Son is fun but mostly because it looks pretty and the powers are fun. Infamous 1 is still my favorite I think.
Game play it's hack n slash combined with bullethell with camera perspectives that constantly change. A story that's somewhere along the lines of horizon meets SOMA but more meta. Honestly, it feels more like a Kojima project than it does anything else. It's truly the most unique gaming experience I have ever seen.
I was going to get it on pc but it's locked to 1080p...probably the weirdest decision I've ever seen.
It's a game that is a third person rpg that seamlessly transitions to top down shooter, side scroller and a couple other genres. It's incredibly original from what I see and from how it's been reviewed
Though it is very bare bones now almost like an beta Disc Jam with time could be amazing it's mechanics are good and each game is against a human opponent so every game feels tense and comebacks feel satisfying. It is worth a download while free that could turn into a 20 dollar indie game with promise.
My 360 has finally died so I'm going to buy a PS4 (always had playstation but when my ps3 died I lucked into a free 360 so just been rolling with that). I don't have a 4K TV and don't really plan on buying one anytime soon so is there really any reason to get the Pro over the Slim? I play sport games 95% of the time but might pick up Horizon due to the awesome reviews.
