I had my pro on my old 1080p tv before I got my new tv. I liked it for 60fps in action games. It's pretty great on a 4K tv
Yeah, 4k isn't even the biggest appeal of the pro, 60 fps is. 4k is pretty and all but that shit caps at 30 fps. Fps > resolution
I went pro because as others stated I'm planning to go 4K this year. That said it works really well and will downscale onto 1080p. Horizon specifically will let you choose between performance and appearance. It's just a toggle switch to change. My Pro was kicking the fan on all the time for appearance though so I switched to Performance (basically downgraded some visuals) and it's been a champ since. The game still looks great on my tv.
Really interesting and well-written article about the console landscape as it relates to exclusives http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/22/1...-one-switch-zelda-horizon-scorpio-first-partyhttp://www.theverge.com/2017/3/22/15010540/video-game-exclusives-ps4-xbox-one-switch-zelda-horizon-scorpio-first-party
Some suggestions are: Bloodborne Witcher 3 Uncharted 4 Nier: Automata Until Dawn Horizon: Zero Dawn Rocket League Nioh MLB: The Show Persona 5 Not sure what you're into, but that should cover a good bit of the good ones from different genres
Uncharted 4 came with the system and have The Show preordered. Play sports games the majority of the time but also enjoy action-adventure ones as well. Going to try to knock out The Last of Us pretty quickly as I know The Show is going to dominate my time for a while.
Let's talk about how many games Persona 5 has a higher metacritic score than. Nioh? Check Nier? Check Horizon? Check Uncharted 4? Check The Witcher 3? Check Bloodborne? Check Metal Gear Solid 5? Check TLOU and GTA5 remastered? Not quite What the literal fuck guys. Lmbo @xbox
Game critics are some of the weirdest people on earth. I'm willing to bet that persona is a great game but cmon with being better than TW3 and Bloodborne
it's kinda weird to be reppin the flag for a console over another. that's usually for the teenagers who can only afford one.
there's a difference between the idiotic fanboy-ism of teenagers, and a reasoned analysis leading to the conclusion that one product is superior to another.
Persona is a great series I'm not surprised its getting these reviews Persona 4 Golden is one of my favorite games of all time.
i never play p4 but this seems like exactly my kind of thing an excessively japanese dating sim with a hybrid ff/pokemon combat? yes please
Have you ever played SMT? The demon fusion in these those and the persona games is a lot of fun. It blows pokemon catching out of the water.
it's also for people who tried to get their entire group of friends to make the transition this generation only to be told no by everyone
It's in the mail as we speak. Not sure what I'm going to start first, this or nier. Good problem to have, I'd say.
I cant remember the last time I didnt own all of the systems. I even bought a WiiU, but there's not even one reason to buy an xbone. Better overwatch group i guess but i'd rather just go pc. All xbone exclusives will be on pc moving forward. Ea access, xbones biggest selling point, is available on pc. Controller sucks, voice control is pointless, and the UI is the absolute worst thing i have ever seen, worse than the old cbs and fantrax fantasy sites (I'm a UI slut, there is nothing more important to me). Am I supposed to buy one just for Sunset Overdrive? For early access to battlefield shit? Or the tomb raider game square lost a ton of money on meaning they will never make that mistake again? Last I checked ps4 sales double that of xbone sales and for good reason. Microsoft assumed they had control of the market and put out this absolute garbage console that doesnt have shit to play or any logic behind where things are placed in the UI, but hey you can PLUG YOUR FUCKING CABLE BOX INTO IT! OH THE SAVINGS ON HDMI PORTS! Give me a fucking break. They never recovered from falling flat on their face with that first impression. Dev companies arent working with them anymore. It's sad. They better be ready to show off at E3. Scorpio needs to be as advertised or better. And games, they just dont have games. I have no string bias towards sony or microsoft (we know im a nintendo fanboy) so I just want to best system possible, and without them pushing each other that wont happen and xbox seems to have taken this round off.
Lol at no bias to Sony. You go out of your way in multiple threads to trash the Xbox. Hell your tag is "PS4 Master Race". Imo, every console has its place. I like my PS4 and Xbox equally.
the ps4 is substantially better than the xbone, that's why i shit on it. i have no bias to sony, last generation i was mainly a 360 gamer. i go where the best console is. if microsoft has it next gen i'll go right back over there. i have no loyalty. the xbone doesn't do anything you can't do with a ps4 or pc, it has no place. that's why it doesn't sell. that's why they're "transcending" generations and making another console this year. the xbone is probably a fine piece of hardware but they forgot the most important part, the games. that's what this is all about. they don't have any. maybe e3 will change that but as things stand ps4 has had 6 exclusives rated 88 or higher (4 this year) and xbone has had 2. 6 is low, and 2 is just unacceptable. sure every console may have it's place but the place for the xbone is the trash. it doesn't do anything unique or better than anything else. iirc Sunset Overdrive is the only worthwhile game that isn't available on another platform. so basically it's only use is to play third party multiplayer games with everyone else who owns an xbone.
Keep in mind that the average gamer doesn't care about exclusives. I definitely agree that PS4 wins the exclusive battle, but that was also the case on previous generations. If you take pc out of the equation, the Xbox has a place. EA Access is fantastic, and simply not available on the PS4. They are getting ready to launch a Netflix style service for games that beats PSNow as it is downloads the games, not steaming from cloud servers. I have a PS4 pro and wanted to play ME:A in 4K (which I could have done on the pc, but the game doesn't like my SLI setup at 4K). However, I knew I would want to play apex missions and strike teams with my RL friends, which have the game on Xbox. So I went that route. I'm having fun and I got a discount with EA Access. Moral of this story, I buy games where my friends are playing it. Another example would be RS:S. I have it on pc but none of my friends did so I bought it on PS4 to have a full team and no pugs. For Xbox, I've enjoyed Halo Wars 2, Forza Horizon 3, and Gears 4. And on the PlayStation, horizon was great, Nioh is a blast, and Bloodborne is one of my top 5 games of all time. It's simple, get every console, and don't miss out on any exclusives.
rn I play Overwatch till I rage quit and the play DS3 the ringed city till I rage quit then play Overwatch
