I wasn’t sure about him since he came from TMZ and I loathe TMZ but he’s been a great addition to The Ringer.

 

Probably had nothing to do him with having a successful radio/tv career previously.

The Simmons / Russillo segment on Joc Peterson was surprisingly entertaining.

 

same and I didn’t even like the Wire pod he did with Jemele Hill largely on account of him but I like everything else he’s done since

 

He's a real nerd and it cracks me up listening to his Star Wars and Marvel takes. He's great.

 

Van Lathan won me over when he suggested Catch Me If You Can as a Rewatchable. I've been pining for that one since the beginning.

 

Should be a no brainer.

 

The fact that pulp fiction hasn’t been a Rewatchable is crazy.

 

They seem to like the anniversaries for some, so 2024 would be the 30 year for Pulp Fiction. Dumb though.

 

I dont think i had heard of this Kevin Wildes guy before today but Bill's bullpen of Boston fans who work in sports media is kind of amazing

 

Tuned it to hear Jacoby but couldn’t make it very far with the other dude screaming in the mic

 

He said "oh I like that take" 2 or 3 times

Looked him up and apparently he's on that First Things First show

 

he created first take, and the skip bayless show on Fox I believe.

It’s bad enough hearing Bill talk WWE, if he’s gonna talk about minor league wrestling on the pod that’s an instant skip

That makes more sense. I like listening to him talk about the nba but when he says stuff like he never had a losing year in 15+ years of betting on the nba, butthead gets skeptical

Especially when he says making over $100mil isn't that big of a deal because people have "made billions" betting on soccer

 

Guessing he’s made significantly more on bitcoin than he did betting

 

That part I believe. My care level about poking holes in his story is pretty low but when he just casually says "yeah, 9 figures net" in the way that people talk about what they had for lunch makes me laugh
