I wasn’t sure about him since he came from TMZ and I loathe TMZ but he’s been a great addition to The Ringer.
same and I didn’t even like the Wire pod he did with Jemele Hill largely on account of him but I like everything else he’s done since
Van Lathan won me over when he suggested Catch Me If You Can as a Rewatchable. I've been pining for that one since the beginning.
They seem to like the anniversaries for some, so 2024 would be the 30 year for Pulp Fiction. Dumb though.
I dont think i had heard of this Kevin Wildes guy before today but Bill's bullpen of Boston fans who work in sports media is kind of amazing
He said "oh I like that take" 2 or 3 times Looked him up and apparently he's on that First Things First show
the way Boston fans infiltrate sports media is similar to white supremacists infiltrating the police force Spoiler same views and beliefs, naturally
I loved the new top gun. But it is funny to hear Amanda going gaga over fan service and flashbacks in top gun, but despises it in every other popcorn movie
i don't remember him for his actual sports takes but imo his half-baked ideas segments over the years have made him one of bill's best guests. there are old ones on youtube from the ESPN days.
I’ve enjoyed those half baked ones and you’re right that he’s been on at least 8-10 times the last 8-10 years.
It’s bad enough hearing Bill talk WWE, if he’s gonna talk about minor league wrestling on the pod that’s an instant skip
i don’t like “the stuff you watch every week is fake but THIS right here is real!” in wrestling but he is a hell of a talent on the mic
Bill having that loser Tony Khan on the pod would probably be entertaining in a car crash kind of way though
Im almost positive i saw Bill sitting underneath the C’s basket in the 2nd half. So could be delayed a bit.
That makes more sense. I like listening to him talk about the nba but when he says stuff like he never had a losing year in 15+ years of betting on the nba, butthead gets skeptical Especially when he says making over $100mil isn't that big of a deal because people have "made billions" betting on soccer
That part I believe. My care level about poking holes in his story is pretty low but when he just casually says "yeah, 9 figures net" in the way that people talk about what they had for lunch makes me laugh
i don't really care either way but he posted on reddit a few days back with some details on his story he's a really good guest with bill imo but he became terrible on twitter with libertarian takes so i had to unfollow him
The Celtics went into last night knowing they were probably going to lose because of the refs according to Bill. To ryens credit he immediately pointed out the Celtics got called for 1 more foul than the warriors and shot 3 less FTs. Bill goes eh whatever and changed topic
