I’m hoping it was just a situation where when Brees went down the playbook went to shit and he was coming up with stuff on the fly. If our offense looks that inept next week, I’ll start to panic.
Significant drop off between Brees and Teddy. Teddy held on to the ball a lot longer and accuracy wasn’t there.
I want to see one more game before I complete doom and gloom. We got fucked at WR also and I think Taysom was our # 3 once Smith went down. Going to assume the playbook was shot once we were down WRs and playing from behind - and the Rams just outplayed us on the line. Completely outplayed us. I want to see Teddy with a full week of practice, a playbook built for him, and some healthy WRs. Also - put Taysom in for a couple drives here and there to throw things off for the other team. Won't blame this one on the refs because we didn't deserve to win after that 4th qtr - but it seemed like all the wind was knocked out of our sails after Cam's TD was called back. If that stands it completely changes the game plan for the 2nd half, that kind of shit can't happen at this level of football and it's every week for us and a couple of other games this week. The NFL has a significant officiating problem. All we have to do is win our division and Brees will be back - good for us the rest of the division blows.
This is full doom and gloom. I wouldn’t trust Teddy Bridgewater to be an improvement of FSU’s situation right now. He’s bad.
Let's split the next 6. Gets us to 4-4 once Brees is (hopefully) back. With the division being a shitshow, we should still have a decent chance at the playoffs.
I'll be honest though, Brees going down makes what happened last year feel even worse. It really does look like that was our last gasp.
Seattle’s secondary sucks ass, but our LB corps is possibly the best in the league. I’d encourage this.
Leading into this game, I had the least expectations of any game since the season where Billy Joe Hobert and Billy Joe Tolliver split QB1 duties. What a pleasant surprise
We just beat a playoff caliber football team on the road in a great hone field advantage type place with a our back up QB saints are for real
It's been pretty well known that he's just a giant fucking assholes around the league. He's never actually been good either, I wish we'd just spend one of our late 1sts or 2nds on a future stud TE instead of keep getting these stopgap guys and UDFAs.
so fucking happy we won this game. My goal mentally was to go into the bye 3-5, now its 4-4 with more upside than downside. Just beat Tampa when im actually there and 1 of the cards, jax, dallas and the bears. THink the bears wont be that game but even 5-3 could happen
Dallas and Chicago will be tough games for sure, but I have to think this Seattle game was the hardest of the Drew 'out' games. The rest of this team is good enough to beat anyone, but we'll probably drop a couple of these. During the game I think I heard them say Drew's injury was 4-6 weeks, and some reports kept mentioning he takes such good care of himself he should be back early. I don't plan on seeing him until Atlanta, but 4 weeks is back for the Chicago game.... which I'm going to. That would be awesome.
If we’re still thinking Drew is back week 9 for the Falcons, I still think 4-4 would be a reasonable success in his wake, and 5-3 would be outstanding. I hope that’s the worst injury we face this year.
I know Dallas is good but I hope we beat them. There is no worse feeling in the world than a smug Cowboys fan shit-talking all game when they are winning (even if our greatest QB of all time is out with an injury). My worst NFL experience ever was when they beat the shit out of us in Dallas like 5 years ago. Just had to sit there and listen to those obnoxious ass fans the entire game.
I haven't figured out yet if I'm going to make it or let my sister use my tickets. I think we have a shot, like Seattle.
