he just had a monster season. He's still a great athlete, but has had some bouts with dick hands and of course injuries. Brees can make him an all pro.
Cam Jordan on NFL Network today. Seems like a cool, intelligent dude who probably has a future as an analyst or elsewhere in sports media.
Our schedule... Sept 9: Houston (MNF) Sept 15: at LA Rams Sept 22: at Seattle Sept 29: Dallas (SNF) Oct 6: Tampa Bay Oct 13: at Jacksonville Oct 20: at Chicago Oct 27: Arizona Nov 3: BYE Nov 10: Atlanta Nov 17: at Tampa Bay Nov 24: Carolina Nov 28: at Atlanta (ThNF) Dec 8: San Francisco Dec 16: Indianapolis (MNF) Dec 22: at Tennessee Dec 29: at Carolina Kind of disappointed with the Titans games as I was really wanting to go to that one - being the weekend before Christmas makes it a little more difficult and possibly cold weather may suck.
To be honest...that schedule doesn't look very daunting. Generally, teams that were really good the previous year are gifted a tough schedule the following year. Kind of bullshit we have to play @ LA and @ Seattle in back-to-back weeks, though
Might just stay on the west coast that week? Idk. I like where the bye falls. Right before Atlanta and 4 straight division games
Think I’m happy with our day 2, grabbed a starting center and a 4th for our 2nd, 1 of 2 6s, and 2020s 2nd
I’ll always be happy with an OL pick, especially since Peat is a puss, and Armstead will get hurt. If you like a guy enough you go get him- seems to work out for us normally
I don't consider the price very steep at all. Moved up significantly 2 of our picks this year for a 2nd rounder next year, basically. We have to be in win now mode with Drew.
Pretty happy to add Lil'Jordan Humphrey as an UDFA. Think he can help, especially when we inevitably need a 6th or 7th receiver during the season.
Anybody know the best way of securing away game tickets? Have a buddy who's doing a bachelor party and we're going to the Bears game.
Turns out I can't go anyway. And now my friend said they've kinda gone radio silent about it, so who knows. But they're plan is to go to the Bears game. Would love to go but I've got to plan for another bachelor party on the last weekend of September.
Yes fuck Ticketmaster and their fees, stub hub also can get fucked but they’re don’t seem quite as bad
Sheeeeeeeit..... Stubhub is a %, so there’s SUCK for high priced tickets. I’m learning that as a keep my eye on LSU-Texas tickets...
I’m trying to sort this picture out. Zion is 6’7”, Drew 5’11” at best. I get Zion’s further back and slightly leaning but still......
I went to practice last weekend - McCoy, Cameron Tom and Easton all seemed like they were splitting 1st team snaps pretty evenly. I really like our depth on the OL now. Losing a couple guys there last year slowed us the most. I also like that we'll be able to let Peat walk. He's just too injury prone with little shit to pay him anything significant.
On paper, we have one of the best rosters in the league. We're stacked. Biggest concerns going into the year: The team's mentality after getting so close 2 years in a row and having it snatched away. Of course that can also be motivation, but the season is so fucking long. That's got to wear on guys Brees' longevity/2nd half of the year. He looked straight up bad during the last quarter of the year and playoffs. Hopefully a 2nd threat behind Thomas emerges to help him Also, a legit 2nd threat behind Thomas--Jared Cook has the opportunity for a huge year Bruiser back to compliment Kamara Interior DL until Rankins comes back
DL I'm ok with - I think Brown will help a lot, and hopefully Davenport really improves for the pass rush. Once Rankins comes back if he's a full go our defense could be incredible.
We need to do better to hit our stride at the end of the year. Some guys like Rankins being out for a bit could help us in some way achieve that, I think. But I also want as many games in the dome as possible.
Davenport and Cam on each end is fucking awesome. If Davenport grows from last year could be one of the best pairs in the league.
Yea, we weren't playing our best football of the year in the playoffs (and still should've been in the Super Bowl).
