The funny thing about Chiklis’ new show, which I haven’t seen, is that he plays a border patrol agent with a conscience. Wild that Vic ended up with ICE and I feel like as shitty as he was he’d take issue with 80% of what they do.
Started a rewatch over the weekend (wife out of town) and man, this show is perfect. It’s sadly forgotten in the era of prestige TV but it’s easily top 5 if not higher.
Yeah it wasn’t great, it needs to be a lot darker. I just finished my 3rd rewatch of the shield, and still one of my top 5 fav shows.
Thinking about starting this. I’ve watched about everything but somehow never watched this. Does it hold up well 20 years later? Thanks.
I can’t think of a single character (maybe Claudette but she still used Vic on occasion) who didn’t get their hands dirty at some point and your reaction is to think less of them instead of being content with them getting results.
I downloaded the entire series months ago but got sidetracked watching Star Wars stuff. Thinking about doing this next.
Started my rewatch by accident. I was waiting on a different show to download so decided to watch the pilot of The Shield. Welp, 9 episodes later and I decided to put the other show on hold. I forgot how much Connie sux.
One thing I always loved (which was by no means intentional) was how Shane started to look more and more like Vic as he tried and failed to scheme like him. Mostly just bc Walton Goggins was losing his hair.
