There was only 1 daywalker in the books, not a team and none of them were involved in any sun traps. The writers/authors are changing stuff up from the books.
Kid sucks, but I think the show has gotten much better this season. Nothing great, but it's good enough to keep watching.
i picked it back up after giving up on it after the first few episodes of season 1. i like it now that ive caught up through season 2, kid doesnt get any better though
Yeah I like the new intro. They have to ask him for his help as opposed to him have always been in their service and running around for them. That's badass. Perfectly ok with the change. That femur handled sword was also awesome.
No clue as to their history. The guy that died, Vaun, was originally Quinlan in the book and he recruited Gus and worked for the Ancients and all that, but he was the only "daywalker". The rest of the team were humans. From the way I gather it on the show, Vaun was their head bodyguard and lead soldier, and now that him and the his team are gone they're having to call in the big dog. Pure speculation, like I said, in the books Mr. Quinlan was already there with the Ancients.
Thanks for clearing that up! Please tell me that in the books the kid gets murdered in some gruesome fashion.
It really does. Last season was ok, but kept me interested enough to give season 2 a shot. Season 2 gets better and better each week.
Oh yeah. They have a long ways to go and they're going to continue to add things that they didn't think of when they wrote the books. Really impressed with how the show is becoming its own thing while still sticking to the source material. I guess it helps that the authors are the ones creating the show. I wonder how many seasons they will stretch it out over? They could go 5 seasons with the original material and the new stuff that they're adding in.
Really liking the way they introduced Quinlan now. I guess the others with Vaun were daywalkers as well but Quinlan trained them for the Ancients. Also, liking how they made him more than just a servant soldier like Vaun was and he's able to kind of rustle their jimmies and talk back to them.
Cosign on the improvement. Last season was entertaining for what it was, but the show (other than Zack) is legitimately good this year.
Zack sucks in the books too. But agree with everyone else, I'm pleasantly surprised with how well the show is going.
Yeah I referred to him as Carl Light, but Zack sucks in the books and the show. Carl is the man in the comics at least.
Good episodes lately. Interested in seeing how CoCo reacts now that she knows the truth. Will she go along or fight from the inside? Eldritch has put dat pussy on a pedestal so it could get good. Also, now any episode without Quinlan in it is a disappointment to me.
The Nazi background stuff is amazing. The add ins keep making the story better. It's like the opposite of most shows based on books.
Interesting, they are now changing major elements from the book. Actually like it, since Spoiler I never bought Fet and Nora together
Can someone refresh my memory on what happened with the French girl infected and her father in the series premiere.
Think Eph, Nora, and Setrakian went to the house(not all together) and that's how their group got started when they discovered they were both vamps.
IIRC, Setrakian was narrating and said something about love but can't remember. Did the girl turn her dad into a vamp?
I know she turned him when she was taking a bath and it was really dark in the bathroom, pretty sure it was the premiere but not 100% sure. It was a creepy scene. I misinterpreted, my first post happened a few episodes later.
